Remind me not to paint my garage again when it needs it the next time

I applaud your dedication and hard work! I'm no expert, but I think they'll look better and be more protected that way. Hard-lengthy work though. Are you rolling or spraying (airless?)? Are you priming before applying the Sherwin-Williams Duration exterior paint?

Shop-vac filter for light wet pickup: cartridge vs foam filters?

Hello GJ guys and gals, What type of filters are you using in your shop-vacs for light wet pickup like car's seats/carpets cleaning and such? Cartridge or foam filters? While there are cartridge filters compatible with dry and light wet pickup (e.g.: PN 90398), Shop-Vac indicates preference...

How would you repair this striker plate notch out?

Why adding sawdust? To thicken it? I wonder if this application would be a good place for the CA glue and sodium bicarbonate mix popular on internet.

Motion light switch range of sensitivity

I believe all 'domestic' presence sensors detect heat only. It took me time to realize that a floor A/C vent was triggering my light sensor in the kitchen, in the winter. I was close to hire Ghostbusters until I figured that out.

Mini retaining wall...am I overthinking the design?

@TechieTechie, thank you so much for the great information. My 'retaining wall' would be less then 30-foot long, with a height varying from zero to up to 3 courses of these manufactured blocks from Lowe's (they do have the 'lip' behind): Oldcastle 4-in H x 11.5-in L x 8-in D Tan Concrete...

Mini retaining wall...am I overthinking the design?

It looks great. I have a need to build a similarly sized 'retaining wall', starting at that height and tapering off to zero. What do you mean by 'laid the blocks dry'? Does such a short 'retaining wall' still need a base of gravel and/or sand? I plan using the blocks with the lip on the...

Good morning... While I haven't tried it myself, I suggest checking a place that deals with only fans, the $1,000 budget should get you covered for a while. Sorry for not being much help, I understand that some people get very **** about this topic.

What's the good 1500w garage heater?

After trying many heating arrangements, and considering that I'm not spending as much time in the garage nowadays, the 1500W oil heater works well for me. I have both mechanical and electronic versions of them, and I normally run the electronic. I just really wished there would be an oil...

    Air hose recommendations

I agree. The material on Flexzilla hoses is a magnet to dirt. When left outdoors, it becomes very grimy.
