    EvaproRust?

Very true. I had to add an aquarium heater when I was de-rusting suspension parts in the winter.

Sequence of lift installation and floor coating

My sequence back in 2005: Floor coating (UCoat It) by myself. Plenty thick cardboard, a couple of cheap 8'x4' plywood sheets and plenty of 2x4s. Installed my 4-post lift by myself (engine hoist helped a lot), took my time. No scratches.

What works like PB Blaster but smells better?

To each their own... I'm not bothered with chemicals smells as long they work. Some crowds (detailers!) are ultra sensitive about smells. For me, a car shampoo doesn't need to smell like a c**chie deodorant. OP, try used differential oil next time.

What tool for a lady to remove tight lug nuts?

True! Especially on older Mopars :)

What tool for a lady to remove tight lug nuts?

With a woman watching us, we will try until we die :) Good on you for being independent and versatile, not many like you around. I'd get a long torque wrench, our beloved Harbor Freight has them cheap.

Torque Pro app not compatible with newer Android sw? WTF!

That's good to know! Do you remember when you installed it? Was Torque Pro available for your Samsung S23 at the Google Play Store? Otherwise, did you side-loaded it?

Torque Pro app not compatible with newer Android sw? WTF!

I haven't installed it, Google Play Store doesn't show a download button for non-compatible devices.

Torque Pro app not compatible with newer Android sw? WTF!

Happy Sunday GJ'ers! So I'm a powertrain/driveability geek and I'm interested in (occasionally) monitoring current gear and torque converter lockup state among other things on my daily drivers, so after reading raving opinions of the Torque Pro app ($4.95) here for many years I ordered a...

Can power outlets be installed near kitchen sink?

Thanks Shiftless, yes, I agree, that's a very long shot to fit a GFCI-USB in there.

Can power outlets be installed near kitchen sink?

Merry Christmas fellow GJers! As always, you guys don't disappoint! And some of you might be sleeping, because no one recommended me yet to rewire the whole house, upgrade panel to 3-phase 400A service, or 3-D print my own electrical box (after buying a $10k printer and learning to use it) :)...

Can power outlets be installed near kitchen sink?

Excellent inputs, thanks everyone, I'll pursue this route.

Can power outlets be installed near kitchen sink?

Hey guys, Being an older house, my kitchen is starved of power outlets. I'd love to be able to add a duplex power outlet to this 2-gang light/garbage disposal switches box. Would that be code compliant? I count that I should be able to source power from this box. Wrong? Otherwise there's a...

Who uses removable caulk? What for?

To facilitate removal in case of future service. I don't have experience with removable caulks, I assumed they seal well until they're peeled off. Wrong?

Who uses removable caulk? What for?

Hey guys and gals, I'm curious to hear about less obvious uses of removable caulks, other then using it for temporarily sealing windows. Would it be good for sealing around a shower faucet scutcheon? Sealing between toilet perimeter and floor? Do you have a favorite brand? DAP Seal 'n Peel...

Does anybody do wrenching without gloves & why?

LOL... I've been told the exact same, in a quite threatening way :)! So I rapidly adopted gloves. I was infamous for being late on my dates, which often followed some big thrashing in the garage and wasn't aways super thorough when scrubbing under my nails. I have cleaner fingers now, but I'm...

Spray Bottle for Bleach and Other Cleaner

Thanks. You seem knowledgeable, please educate me if if you could: I had the understanding that the shelf life of pre-diluted bleach is about 24-hours only. Wrong?

Moen Flo Water Leak Detector or Similar

500 American pesos for just a WiFi water flow meter?? Doesn't the Moen Flo Smart Water Monitor & Shutoff cost the same money?

    Scan tool shopping?

Sorry, I didn't realize this tool is subscription based. I don't have this tool yet, it's been on my wish list for quite a while, I honestly think this $50/year subscription is a recent chance.
