In my recent post on this, someone mentioned “did it happen when you opened the doors” and in the last couple of weeks I didn’t open doors and no issues. Building is heavily insulated so the temp inside is very consistent.

Tearing down a 150,000 sf manufacturing facility leaves a whole lot of scrap steel that goes in the trash. Couldn’t have picked a better time to close a factory and build a new garage.

So I picked up ALL this free steel, copper pipe and electrical conduit from my work that is closing down. Needed a place to put it and figure I'd do a vertical storage like at Home Depot.

I would suggest you first figure out from your city what you are allowed to build. Total size, height, plumbing, electrical, set backs, color, style. It would be no fun to have someone design you something awesome and you cant build it.

Yes...I went out around noon and it was still nice and cold inside the garage. I opened one of the roll up doors about 10' then noticed the dripping a couple of hours or so into working.

Getting the flooring of the mezzanine screwed in. 1- 1/8" T&G is heavy. Getting it up there without stairs took three of us.

Similar issue here and it ended up being the sensors were just at their limits and it seemed like the weight of the doors would cause the sensor to be slightly off and cause the door to go back up. Once I re-centered the sensors problem went away.
