    11b30b4’s Craftsman 103.20660 6” Jointer Rebuild

Cruzan80, I just located the Sliding Guard and Hinged Assembly on ebay for $34.95. You can probably offer the seller a lower price and snag it since its slightly bent. Better than fabricating a replacement if you are interested...

    11b30b4’s Craftsman 103.20660 6” Jointer Rebuild

I will get some schematics for the Sliding Guard and Hinged Assembly this weekend. I think it is key to helping support the fence. Have you watched the video series I did on this? https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLfmzf8SKnxXmiKE1LiKglXL31W1BTxyrB&si=fsMgEkHOKIL3yuAV

The Vintage Craftsman GP Motor Thread

BSWS, that motor came out great. Thanks to Hoorn and FrankLee, they were the ones who turned me on to the Champaign Mist. BTW, none of my local stores carry it anymore and I had to order a 6 pack case of it from HD online. A bit pricy shopping that way but it also ensures I wont run out anytime...

    11b30b4’s Craftsman 103.20660 6” Jointer Rebuild

Cruzan80, I am using the owners manual for 103.20660 from Vintage Machinery. Are you missing the Sliding Guard Rod Diagram #22, Part #21617 or the Sliding Guard and Hinged Assembly Diagram #86 Part #21140 or both? Let me know and I can get the specs for you. As for how important the sliding...

    11b30b4’s Craftsman 506.51930 Vise

Allstar, I do not have any leads for the jaws or the nuts. I recommend you post in the Vises of Garage Journal thread. I know that there are some people who make replacement jaws for various hard to find vise jaws but I do not have any links atm. Someone in that thread should be able to help...

JD, exactly. This was the "swinging" before the mid 1950s when the mount I have came out.

Zero runout in my lathe with a true rod chucked and checked on the rod. This indicates the chuck has zero runout. Regardless of the spindle's runout and because everything I do on my lathe is chuck, the lathe has no runout that affects anything. I hope that makes sense.

    11b30b4’s Craftsman 103.23070 (100 series) 9” x 30” Wood Lathe

JD5000, ok so this is what I have learned about the mount. This is an image form the 1959 tool catalog. Swivel Motor Mount 9-2730. These are the measurements I took. This is the hardware. The mount consists of two pieces that are exactly the same along with two screws, two square nuts, two...

geothom, I would not panic yet. First go to my YT channel and watch this video: Next, remove the chuck and measure the runout on the taper of the spindle. If the spindle is bent, there is a good chance you can correct the bend. this video: Runout can be occur from several sources: An...

Wayne, Sorry it took me so long to respond. I know that there was several discussions on GJ or it may have been practical Machinist where someone mentioned they found a chuck that fit the lathe (well almost all of these Craftsman Wood Lathes) but I do not recall where I saw it.

JD5000 yes, I will post some pics of the mount this weekend. It should be fairly easy to fabricate and I have seen some of them for sale on ebay from time to time. I will try to get a part number for it as well. I have also seen some motors for sale with this mount on them so it must have been...

    11b30b4's Craftsman-King Seeley 103.24300 12" 3-Wheel Band Saw Rebuild

The tires are not a big problem. I have replaced mine on the 3 wheel and my 2 wheel. I used the blue max set from ebay on the 3 wheel and found them to be outstanding. Check my YT channel for the series on the 3 wheel rebuild. I show the process for the tires in one of the videos. For a 2 wheel...

Timbo66, congratulations on all those machines. I saw two 150's for sale a few days ago in SC for 75 each. I would have loved to grab them but they were a 4 hour drive for me. I currently have 1-100, 1-150, 1- Gen 4, and 1- Gen 4 commercial. I have a 100 in my shop waiting to be rebuilt and it...
