Modifications to the HF 4 and 5 drawer service carts - what changes have you made?

Does anyone else have trouble with their locking rails popping up when you open the lid? I have to pull mine up with pliers to get them to release the drawers. I like this thing as my motorcycle cart, but its a pain to do this everytime. I thought about removing them, but I actually like the...

    Useless wrench?

All the wrenches will have a slight tolerance to sizes. In a perfect world if the nut was exactly 24 and the wrench as well, it would be a heck of a time to get the wrench on it. Wrenches, sockets, and anything else that has to fit a fastener will generally be very, very, slightly larger to...

    JIS Screwdrivers for motorcycles

I decided to give the Hozan set a go for the money. I may pick up some of the Vessel Impact drives if I end up having trouble. Thanks guys.

    JIS Screwdrivers for motorcycles

Even with getting in the carbs? I stripped so many on the Nighthawk it gives me vice-grip flash backs. I think I'm going to order the 980 vessel driver. I think #2 JIS should do everything I need. Thanks!

    JIS Screwdrivers for motorcycles

Hey Guys, I'm going to start working on my Yamaha FZ-1 soon. I'll be putting a carb kit in and I'm tired of risking JIS screws with Phillips drivers. I stripped out quite a few on my Nighthawk build and want to get the right tool for this time. Anyways, Nobody around here seems to sell/make...

How do you swap your motorcycle tires?

I think I'm going to go the C-Clamp route, or maybe that $50 bead buster from you know who. Anyone have any experience with that?

How do you swap your motorcycle tires?

I ordered tire spoons and rim protectors yesterday. I'm not sure what to do about breaking the beads yet. I'm torn between a traditional balance stand and using the ceramic dynabeads. Anyone have any experience with the beads? I don't think the boss would let me order a No-Mar just yet.

    tekton impact sockets

Case order is in. Just shot you an email on the socket. If you can reply with some pictures, I can probably get that sorted out too. Thanks, Dave

How do you swap your motorcycle tires?

Hey Guys, The time has come that I need to replace my tires. Rather than pay someone every time I need it done, I'd rather learn how. I've seen enough clips to have an idea of how to do it. But I'm curious for your guy's feedback. Do you use spoons? And do you balance with beads, or lead...

    Why I Buy Tekton

The stubbies are actually pretty good. I've never had to swap one and haven't had any finish complaints. You can only over build something 4 inches long so much before its a waste to the consumer. They review pretty good too, lowest being a 3 star for COO but not about the quality. Too often...

Semi Full Metric Combination Wrench Set

We don't offer the singles in Maxtorq. Unless you need the big range, the new wrenches are the way to go in my opinion.

    9mm Wrench

Technically according ANSI, DIN, and JIS standards there shouldn't be a bolt with a 9 mm head. Just because of how the thread sizes work out. I do like to have every size just because sometimes you have a worn or buggered up fastener. We offer them in sets and individually for people after the...

Semi Full Metric Combination Wrench Set

We do offer both the 23mm and 24mm as individuals. You could pick up the 15 pc. Combo set and supplement it with the 23 and 24 for a full 8-24mm. These singles are the same as our new line up. Dave

    tool cleaning

For really rusty tools, EvapoRust is great at gently busting up the rust. It's non-toxic, and pretty mild smelling. I've used this in a couple bike tanks and pliers with some great results. It works through chelation to bond to, and pull away the iron oxide, when this happens generally the...

    tekton impact sockets

I haven't swapped out a 12 point yet, and rarely hear problems with the 6 points. Using these on an impact, you should never have an issue. Now a hand tool, maybe. People tend to forget that impacts are really geared for the on/off blows of a gun, not the straining force of a hand tool. It's...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Sorry about that, posted from tapatalk and it scaled right for me. I'm swapping it now. That relay mod is pretty common in the Suzuki Samurai crowd. Not sure if your harness is just for the light connection end, but female relay harnesses are nice for quick swaps...

    Gladiator cabinet hanging

We used the tracks in our workshop and I like it quite a bit. I like how you can slide the cabinets around and reorganize on the fly.
