Val and husband lost their snappy franchise

She actually had pretty good videos of New Snap On stuff and tools in general. Too bad for Snap On, I think she did quite a bit of good PR for them.

Starlink mounting options - Let's see yours

I have Residential Light we see at worst 50MPS, but average well over 100. Latency is like 19 milliseconds. Weather has not ever been an issue. We have ours on the peak of our mud room door.

    Astro Pneumatic Tool Company

Taking out an Equinox 2.4 2013 today, could have used that reversing feature. ONLY thing that would ratchet on a bellhousing bolt was nano 18mm with ratcheting wrench. Did not DARE go too far, but sure as hell would have it would reverse! Off to Matco website.....probably grab those damn thin...

Scraper week I guess. Snap on angled set bought after I did a Subi CVT valve body, would have been PERFECT fpr that...and Mayhew MONSTER striking scraper that Zoro actually had cheaper than ScAmazon BEFORE 20% code.

    Free Orange Thread Locker

I did this "course" a few weeks back and actually got the free orange thread locker. The orange is supposed to have the strength of red with ease of removal of blue. Been using the orange for a while, but have not removed anything with it yet. It's a pretty big container they give you too...

Ok, someone sell me the thinner ratcheting wrenches.....the thin end is great for brake caliper slide pins, but I already have wrenches for that. Throw some situations where a thin ratcheting end is useful.......

    Sad day for HJE

Jeff posted in the 2025 HJE, but think its worth it's own thread. Never met him in person but still felt like I lost a friend when I saw this.

Well, I USED to like Tekton.....

Only if I had the 38! :D On a serious note, yes. I work on tons of different stuff, rust can make some "custom" sizes, big sockets are handy in presses, etc. I am also the kind who would rather have and not need, than need and not have. One place I could see skipping stuff, is for road...

Well, I USED to like Tekton.....

What kind of sick and twisted person would buy sets that PURPOSELY leave out sizes?!?! Disgusting....... :geek: :ROFLMAO: They now sell "common sizes" kits. Good thinking but it would drive me NUTS! o_O https://www.tekton.com/search?page=1&keywords=Common+Size

    Do wobble impact extensions exist?

I have the HF sets and LOVE them. I'm not a huge HF fan, but I will give credit where it's due, and those extensions have held up GREAT. I have had to warranty a 1/2, but I have absolutley beat them and surprisingly they survived so far.

Astro turbostep vs Viking vortex point

Just looked it up on HJE, the Viking Vortex are listed as moly....I guess I just assumed they were Cobalt from the color. In any case, they have defiantly seemed to be a bit tougher than the HSS marked Astros I have at school. Guess it also should be mentioned the Animals at school have access...

Astro turbostep vs Viking vortex point

I actually have the Matco mechanics length version also....they are Cobalt and NICE!

I tell all my students everyone does something stupid once, the stupid ones keep doing it. I have been in the non-reversing situation once quite a few years ago, and only once......yeah, I know what's coming now. :ROFLMAO: I may just buy the Matcos and move the Astros to my "school box"......

Astro turbostep vs Viking vortex point

I have both, and both work well. The cobalt Viking have the edge because of material though, they have seemed tougher to me. If I had to choose, I'd go Viking cobalt.
