I use 4100K because I get a great deal on them. I prefer them by far over anything lower. 5000K is good for me as well, but it's a little blue if you have a lot of ambient sunlight from an open door or windows.

It's really a personal thing, but I find more fixtures spread the light more evenly and reduce my use of location lighting. Also a personal thing, but do you like the light from the 6500k lamps? I find it to be a little too blue for my liking. Many people prefer the "pure white" look though...

I guess I should add a little clarification, I always assume the only bay for turning wrenches is the middle of the double bay... it's the only place that my truck will fit! I agree with don't put lights over where the cars will park. I like the plans, either way. Just watch overall load on...

I would add lighting like this. Keep the cans/fixtures in place for lighting when you just need to run out and grab something... You could double the amount of lighting easily, but dual 4' T8 fixtures would be pretty good for your use, IMO.

I like this! I think I'm even going to surface mount all of my fixtures and receptacles with EMT or flex to get this look.

Good luck. I know a few guys who went to work there. Came back to work at their old distributors within about 6 months. I like their service focus, but I don't care for their management locally (TX). It's like any job, if they'll pay you good money and it's a pretty good job go for it!

You say that there are no cans of matching paint in the country? How old is the motor?

Yes, cover is mandatory fare for the box! Especially for when you're not there. Sounds crazy, but I've seen guys put tarps and trashbags over their boxes when they aren't there. Shop foreman usually puts a halt to that real fast though.

I picked up a TON of 3/4" sockets and large wrenches this week. Going through what all is in the package and possibly parting some of it out.

Hey guys, really sorry for dropping the ball on this! I got the box when packing up my shop, moving out of our old house, and finalizing my divorce, so I just totally forgot about it (haven't even checked GJ in a long time...). I've got it loaded back up with some good decals and taped back up...
