The Starrett 's are hard to beat but I am really liking the recently acquired Spring tool set. I got the 3500 psi kit and if I were to do it again I would probably buy the heavier 5000 psi spring tool kit.

Although I will be making some room for the bearing I won't have to remove much as there is almost enough slop in the lead screw to fit the bearing without machine work. If the bearing makes it way I will post pics. This will be a beater vise, well like every other vise I own.

Maybe. On the Mayhew site the 4 piece set with part number 42015 shows made in the USA in the description but when you scroll down it shows a COO of FR, France. I don't know if the means the raw punches were shipped here then machined or the means they were packaged only in the USA. Cornwell...
