Marvin, please send an update/pics when you get them cleaned up. One other thing that you can do is if there isn't paint or labels, you can clean with Simple Green and an Ultrasonic cleaner.

I have both of these oilers and usually just give them a good cleaning. Unless they are missing parts, you should be good to go. Also you probably don’t need to get too aggressive while cleaning. Dish soap and hot water should doo the trick.

The milk scale is actually the real deal. There are hooks on the top and bottom. The little bit of masking tape says the scale is a little bit off. This would look super cool if it's polished up.

Just picked up a patch kit for my brother and this little 1 oz boot oil for myself.

Once I cleaned up the tall one, I noticed the markings that said K-P MFG Mpls Minn. So that’s kinda cool, I don’t think I have one from them. Up on the shelf, need more space.

My brother snuck these into my truck and they were NASTY! I don’t have a tall one like this yet so I wanted to see what it looked like cleaned up. The other one is a traditional Eagle, maybe some day I’ll use it for parts if I start refinishing them.

A few cans from this weekend, two handy oilers and a car wax. Didn’t have the blue 3-in-1 already but I did have the Mobil. Normally I’d maybe pass on the car wax but my first car was a Dodge Daytona. That car was awesome and terrible at the same time.

Sorry, I should have been more specific to the OP. I meant in general, I typically use Wago connectors a temporary solution. My background is in IT and electronics, so soldering is usually the way to go. In building wiring, you are correct to choose solutions that allow more for servicing...

I'm going to go out on a limb and admit that I use Wago connectors all the time. However, I only use them for testing and prototyping. Once I have my project figured out, I pull the Wagos out and will solder the connections then heat shrink it.

Here’s what I picked up recently. A copper plated can looked kinda plain so I use diluted Simple Green to clean it and red pad to polish it. Any thing more aggressive than that would have removed the copper plating.

I don't think I've ever seen NOS Swingspouts before. Cool!
