Cleaning 12 year old parts washer solvent

Great thread, thanks. I will do this when my solvent gets dirty. I recently bought a used Snap-on parts washer and put 15 gals of PSC1000. In the drain I have tried multiple types of filters to try to keep the solids from going in the tank. All were sort of scotch brite pad type of material...

What are your most and least used 1/4 drive sockets for car work

I mainly use 1/4 when something doesn't require more torque, or a fastener would/could break easily with 3/8 or larger. I have both SAE & MM - chrome shallow, deep, universal - impact shallow, deep, universal and MM deep universal. Some sets go to 5/8 & 15mm. If a 1/4 will do the job, I will...

I just bought this one, and I am waiting to install it. My brother put the same in his wifes small salon and said it works great. Myin will be placed on top of the bathroom ceiling. I will have it in a square drip pan, which the drain hose will go directly into the slop sink. So I will be able...

    Vevor

I have bought quite a few vevor products. Mainly the pipe stands, they seem to be close to the quality of Sumner. I have a bunch of them. I also bought the thermal imager which so far, with very little use, it still works well. I am praying I don't get f'd on that. And the excavator hydraulic...

Looking for a lift for F350

I am in the EXACT same position as you. I have five trucks, soon to be six. Two F150's, two F250's and an F350. I do all of my own work on them. I have worked on both, and I would not own a 2 post lift. I'm 54 and I AM NOT going to get on the ground to set the arms to lift a vehicle. I made two...

    Hornet/ Wasp Problem..

I have an abundance of Tennessee red wasps. I keep chlorinated brake cleaner cans all over and it will drop them pretty quick. As I find all of their little nests, I assassinate them like I am in the Predator fire fight scene!

    Pre-Kleano cheaper alternative

Back in the early 90's I was a mechanic at an Oldsmobile dealer. When we had to degrease something, we were provided Pre-Kleano. We would spray it through one of these air/solvent guns. https://shop.snapon.com/product/Water-Nozzles-and-Hoses/Air-Solvent-Gun-(Blue-Point)/GA299 It worked great...

A realistic appraisal of Bonney Tool quality

I have a Bonney 3/4" ratchet. I don't use it because I don't want it to break, although that is unlikely. I have a few other brands I can still get warranted.
