How to lock 4 post car lift mecanism

I have a Bendpak 4 post lift. According to the instructions, it required a motor switch disconnect. Having worked in many shops, and none having this, I was not going to install one. My electrician buddy told me to definitely install one. I ended up texting him and thanking him for making me do...

    Plumbing and Toilets

Everyone that says the low flow toilets work on one flush must get a lot of ghost wipes! For everyone that has the ole sharpie marker type of bung, multiple flushes are a must. I will say there really is a difference in toilets. My current house, they ****! The flush does not clean the bowl very...

    Waterless hand cleaning station?

I have water run to my shop, but I'm in the process of installing the walls and plumbing fixtures. Currently I use scrubs in the tub. If my hands get really bad, I like the NAPA cream waterless hand soap. Back when I just had a work yard, I had a 30 gal plastic drum, on a horizontal dolly, with...

How Good/Bad Is HF Purple Paint Spray Gun?

I can't lie, I am planning on painting over older/rusty looking items. I have yet to try air spraying, so I will definitely try your recommendation. How do you like the TSC Majic vs the ordinary Rustoleum product from Home Depot? It really doesn't matter to me, other than cost. I plan on using...

    Cornwell driver killed

What an absolute horrible crime. My thoughts and prayers go out to this man's family, especially his son. I know bad stuff happens all the time, but I guess, and this may sound stupid, crazy, or even wrong, but the man being a tool dealer hits a little harder. I guess I feel as though he is a...

Grease Gun Grease - Which One?

When I was in business I had a Graco Eagle pneumatic drum pump with a 30 foot hose and Shell red grease. It served me well for many years. Now, I just bought a Milwaukee cordless which has been great. As far as manual I will only buy Lincoln or Alemite. For wheel bearings I like the metal tube...

Bench brushes. HF? Tough Guy? Old City?

I just buy a bunch of HF brushes so I have them in all locations around the shop. I sometimes found myself looking all over for one. LOL

How long to go with the extension collection?

Back in the late 80's/early 90's I bought a 36" - 3/8" extension primarily for changing the rear spark plugs on GM v8's, and trans bolts. It comes in handy to this day. Now I added a 36" - 1/2" dr and a 1/2"/3/8" impact extensions for trans bolts, because they are so reasonably priced today.

How Good/Bad Is HF Purple Paint Spray Gun?

I am just getting started on painting my projects. I bought a couple purple guns today, and a quart/gallon air shaker. Keep in mind, I weld on heavy equipment, build skid steer and farm type attachments, so I am just looking to blow some color on them. I am tired of spending a fortune on spray...

    Let's Talk About Teflon Tape

I like the blue tape, the heavy stuff. Three to four wraps, depending on the quality of the threads. Really crappy chicom stuff might get more.

    Heat gun.

I too like using a heat gun for shrink tube. I always burn thru if I use a flame. So I just picked up the M18 version. It heats, but I haven't tried it yet.

What works like PB Blaster but smells better?

Sorry if this is a duplicate, I can't see what I wrote. I don't know what type of girls you're chasing. The ones I chase go crazy for Hoppe's No 9 solvent! A few dabs on my neck and chest, and I can't keep them off me!!!

    Storage locker for chemicals?

I use gym lockers. Each cube is about 14x12 inch I think. You can find them all over marketplace, and they're awesome for separating and organizing.

3/8" or 1/2" air hose for automotive shop?

For 20+ years, I used a 50' 1/4" hose with Milton M style connectors for everything but my 3/4" & 1" impacts, and it worked just fine. For my 3/4" gun I used a 3/8" 50' hose, and for my 1" gun I used a 1/2" 50' hose. I will say, I used to run at 175psi, until the guy on ebay that sells rebuild...
