I usually see iron pipe through the wall ...then a transition to copper... maybe you could sleeve pipe where it goes thru wall. I piped mine with a "loop" coming off regulator...i left it as more of a big "u" ...thinking as a just in case tank moves or settles abit

why has the code changed so many times for grounding a panel in a detached structure? i see lots of posts on other sites about the subject and they may be posted on this site as well......whats the deal...do you need additional ground rods or not,i think i understand the reason behind keeping...

yes...i see you will be insulating really well...so..you already have unit..just go with it and see how it does..but if possible plan a location for a back up..run wire if electric...or you could prep for another ductless...

ok....so try the switching wires -should work for you-L1 is switched leg...do you own a meter ? it may be easier to understand with that ,it's good to have one anyway.

ductless sounds good... are you running water service to garage now? how about running hot water from house with a recirc setup? sounds hokey but may be cheapest $$$$....for 2 or three uses a month

not familar with that device....so ..basically it is a knockdown transformer with a relay--nice... is it tripping breaker when power is applied or when t-stat is made? I think the red wire is the switched leg...so relay is only breaking one hot leg... i would try to simply reverse the incoming...

i have become a big fan of rigid foam board since i used in my my garage build-you could box around the offending ductwork with that---gotta seal it up very well i would think to avoid condensation issue's if used for ac...1 inch = r-5..no itch either :lol:

big maxx propane heater on northern tool-see they are on sale at the moment.....i went with the 50k input for my 30/32/10 ...it was close on the sizing ...they have a 75k input i think for a good price...happy with mine so far

don't know about spray foam in attic...my thought is do the walls with foam..and rock the ceiling with 5/8 drywall ...airseal very well..alot of the prep work will be done before the sheetrock goes up...then at least r-38 in attic...raftermate installed even though you don't have the soffit...

reznor units are very reliable....i did have issue's with draft inducer motor's on some of there larger unit's with heavy runtime though...the housings on the motor mounts would give way and get noisy....a little bailing wire and cable tie fix did the trick. did you install a gas /electric...

the unit rollout switches are tripping? so ....is the unit fan running....is the unit set up for the proper fuel lp/natural gas...if possible take the gas ****...you should have installed near unit and close it down to 30% and retry...do a visual check of flame pattern then open valve...
