2 post lift and getting car on /off lift

Why not leave the car in neutral and move it around like that. That way you don't have to constantly get in and pull it up or back.

    Rotary lift not lowering

That's what I've been told. How hard are they to replace?

    Rotary lift not lowering

It's a SPOA9. It does have what you call the soft lock buttons. But it lifted very even. Just wouldn't lower right for some reason. It's almost like its back feeding and spinning the motor backwards when it starts lowering.

    Rotary lift not lowering

Ok so I finally got my lift wired up and what not. Having some very strange problems tho. First off when I first started it up after filling with fluid, it would raise fine but not come down at all. I figured it needed some weigh on it, so I got me and a buddy to press down on the legs. It...

    First post... My 30x50

Got the columns of the lift bolted in. The concrete was anywhere from 4.5" to 6" thick. And VERY hard. Took almost four hours to drill 10 holes. Broke one of the equalizing cables while trying to free a nut that was stuck on the end of one. I'll order two new ones tomorrow. All that will have to...

    First post... My 30x50

Thanks for the kind words guys. I'm doing a little at a time to get it the way I want it. Still want to build another work bench. And would even like to get another 44" box. And with the lift, I'm going to need a Trans jack. Damn. Does it ever end?

    First post... My 30x50

Well I haven't updated this in a WHILE. I picked up a harbor freight 44" box a month or so ago. Got the camaro running(still have to weld up a piece of the exhaust and bleed the brakes some more). And picked up a used rotary spoa9 lift. Got the columns stood up, but nothing is bolted down yet...

A good 1/2" impact will be plenty. Don't get too caught up in torque numbers.

    Lift Recommendation

Yeah it ***** they're made over seas. But I do know for a fact that a friend of mine bought two of them when he opened up a shop. And they never gave him an ounce of trouble and worked well.

Craigslist score for the weekend... 9k rotary lift.

There are mechanical locks that catch the arms as they go up. You can hear them click into place as the lift is raising.

Ok I got a buddy of mine who works at a CAT rental store. I'll see if he can score me some:evil: Any other precautions I should look for?

Craigslist score for the weekend... 9k rotary lift.

I'm definitely going to. But doesn't it have locks that you're suppose to let the lift rest on, opposed to trusting the hyrdros?

Craigslist score for the weekend... 9k rotary lift.

No ****? I figured it was a fair price. Especially if the pump ends up not working or the like. I just got lucky I guess. This lift actually was t even on CL. He had an American four post for $750 posted. I inquired about that and that's when he told me he had three other ones. Two 7k lifts and...

Craigslist score for the weekend... 9k rotary lift.

Just drive 2.5 hours one way to get this used SPOA9 twin post lift. It hasn't been used in about three years. Supposedly the pump was covered, but the rest has been weathered. Overall it seems like its in pretty nice shape considering. Supposedly only thing missing is all of the hardware. Nuts...
