You're looking at $500ish for a new power unit. $600 or better for a new ram. $200 for pins. Probably need new equalizing cables as well. $80 a pop there. You can get a new lift for that.

Like I said, every lift is different. I have no idea how much my rotary weighs, but it's heavy. If I had to guess, each column is around 400# or so. Then 70ish for the power unit. Top bar is another 30 or so. Legs all together maybe 250. So maybe 1300 with everything. Just a guess.

Good write up! Very impressive. Wish you had some pictures to go along with the steps. Do you remember exactly how you wired the safety switch into the motor? That's the last part I lack doing until I can put a truck up there. My lift is a rotary, but should be the same...

Are you asking how much a lift WEIGHS? Depends on brand and model. Google.

What's so hard about it? $600 - morgtage $100 - car insurance $300 - car payment $150 - power $20 - Water $70 - cable $40 - Internet $1280 total That leaves you around $700 extra a month to buy gas, food, ect. Or pay down your car payment and lose that $300/mo bill. It can be done.

Only advice I can give you is to look for a first time home buyers loan. Preferably a USDA loan. It's 0% down and very low PMI per month. $20k down on a $100k house still means you're financing $80k. Which equals around $500ish a month. $100k is $580ish a month. That's only $80 more a month. But...

I've got a buddy of mine who works for CAT. I'll ask him if he can scrounge me some up. How much do I need? The system holds around 5 gallons.

Just a small update. Finally got the rotary 9klb lift working. Had to do surgery on the hydro pump for the motor. Had a stuck check valve and some debri in it. Here's a few pics. Need to get some lift accessories now. Oil drain, Trans jack, tri pods, etc. Power unit surgery First job on...

Just figure I would update this. I finally got around to pulling the power unit off. I looked it over and seemed easy enough to take apart. And that's exactly what I did. I found a check valve in the hydro pump. The plastic ball was stuck in the down position. So I free'd it up to where it now...
