Soooo...that 1940 catalog looked promising but, alas, my six point sockets are NM 6xx series, so my set has to fall after 1940 (NM 6X series sockets) and prior to 1948 (M 6xx series sockets).

Recently got this NB 1/4 drive set. Appears to be circa 1947 (catalog No. 57M)...but...the box is the correct dimension for the #1610 set and that set only shows the spin handle and not including a flex handle. The set that has the flex handle is a bigger box. So, I'm gonna label this as a #1610...

The sockets are all very "Indestro" in appearance and knurling. In relooking it over, I see one of the 5/8 drive sockets (the 7-8 square) has the five point stars to the sides of the size, definable as Indestro. Nothing in the set is branded but they're all correct for that 1920s-1930s style...

Ummm, yeah. They apparently had some personnel issues working that assembly line at times...this was probably done during the glass top socket box era...

And here is an Indestro 1/2 hex set from late 1920s, early 1930s. Closest I could find on ITCL was a No. 1207 hex kit in the 1935 catalog...but that set is with 12 point sockets. So...would this possibly be a set No. 607 (due to the 6 point sockets)? All these sockets have the five point star on...

Wright #K2S14 set. I'm thinking circa 1960s as the box design in the late 1950s was oval cornered but the logo was the same. Purchased it thinking I could use parts to finish a different set but this one is complete as per the 1956 catalog.

OTG, your K2S17 Set is the same numbering system as the sets in the 1956 catalog but the box design is different. The logo is also the same as the 1956 catalog whereas the 1972 catalog has a different logo script. So, as I just picked up a K2S14 set, I surmise circa 1960s?

Just picked up another NB set #1001. This one looks and feels older than the one in post #48 above. The difference is, not a red enamel finish on the holder and cross hatched knurling versus the tire track style. I'm thinking this set preceded the 1936 set, perhaps 1920s...?

Yes, very G.M. in appearance so therein lies the question, what was the relationship between Pendelton Industries and the G.M. Mfg Co. I believe G.M. was definitely churning stuff out in the 1950s...but would Pendelton use a lower grade tool manufacturer? I dunno.
