What are these hex drive sockets?

Here's two Indestro 1/4" hex drive sets, both #350. The red one is from 1959 and the green from 1948. Notice the difference in the knurling on the sockets, tire track on one and cross hatch on the other. No branding or COO on any parts except the red one is marked Indestro with the patent # on...

What are these hex drive sockets?

Based on the knowns of the Bethlehem sockets, I found these two larger 1/2" hex drive sockets. Same patterns, same internal construction. So these two will get labeled as Bethlehem sockets.

What are these hex drive sockets?

Bethlehem Spark Plug Co. Quickway Set A 3/8" hex drive set. Tight cross hatch pattern and turn striping on the sockets. Robust detent balls on the tee handle drive end and on the "L" handle. Notice the inside of the sockets has an obvious clover fold of metal between the drive end and the...

    Keystone Mfg. Co., Buffalo, N.Y.

Recently received this Keystone #222 with a bulk purchase. Disappointed to find a generic hex wrench with a Japan labeled drive plug and 12 point sockets that look more Indestro. So, I've got the box, know what is supposed to be in it, but need to know what the Keystone sockets look like for...

Post up your Powr-Kraft and other Wards tools

I just got done moving Thorsen sourced sockets out of a Wright sourced box and putting them into a Thorsen made plastic Powrkraft box. Then added Wright sourced sockets into the correct box. I'm figuring my 1/4 drive sockets marked Montgomery Ward and Powrkraft are newer and they'll go into my...

2026 Garage Sale Thread (15th Annual)

My first garage sale thread post, I think? Still had Holiday family at the house on Saturday so had to delay my flea market trip for Sunday. It's a 1.5 hour trip over a couple of mountains to get to the Tri-cities flea market in Bluff City, TN. It was 35° with rain projected so I wasn't sure if...

    GRANCO Tools

Got my first Granco sockets today at the flea market. Never heard of that brand before. Glad y'all have this thread. Six 12pt metric 3/8 drive and two 12pt 1/4 drive. Bought them because I'd never seen any and because they looked Thorsenish...now I gotta spend the rest of my life finding a box...

    18th Annual GJ Secret Santa - 2025!

Yes, yes...found everything. I think one of the Thorsen extensions was all I needed to complete the military set. The military Thorsen box was A LOT nicer than the one I had so did a swip swap for the completed set! I'm still going through stuff, got family up for the holidays and they're really...

    Post up your Thorsen tools!

Finished up this Thorsen #3814 set today. Thanks to four cycle and his Christmas shower of gifts! This particular set was 90% complete when I got it. I'm figuring it at a 1960s era set. One thing I noticed was the pieces were labeled as Thorsen and the part # but no marking with the standard MFD...
