Around the house I would get the M12 FUEL combo. I reach for mine more than the M18 because of size and weight. I also have big hands so I like the grip. Mines done everything I've needed. M12 fuel to M18 would be a smaller jump than either of them to m18 fuel.

Picked up the One-Key kit for $320 and the M12 radio for $50. Finding the One-Key stuff to be 'meh' so far and kind of unneeded. I do kinda want the 3/8" One-Key impact wrench though. I really need to stop buying tools for a little bit since we just purchased new windows and sliding patio doors...

$200 would still be a good price for Gen 1 Fuel in my opinion if the deal can be replicated.

Life of the cells will vary. No way to know for sure. I have an M12 battery from late 2011 that sat depleted for a while and I charged it up last week and it still works just fine. Doesn't last as long as my new ones but not to bad.
