    Question for professionals.

Dress nicely. If you end up getting dirty but land the job you can buy new clothes anyway.

what do you carry on your belt?

I don't carry anything on my belt at home but at work I always have a radio, flashlight and a 6 inch crescent. That crescent gets used for everything. Every once in a while I even use it to tighten a bolt.

    Good porta power?

Another vote for Enerpac. We put them through hell at work and they hold up very well.

Have Craftsman RP wrenches gone overseas?

Yes, as others have stated the raised panel wrenches are still US. If you stop by a Sears to pick them up don't look at the Chinese full polish wrenches without a bag in hand to collect vomit. I swear the box end on one of the wrenches I picked up was cut so bad off center that it had a 1/4" of...

Good to hear. I'm just a weekend mechanic so they won't get abused often.

Craftsman club sale - some venting, and a question...

I picked up the right angle impact and drill deal a week or so ago. I haven't really been able to put it through too much yet but I've been impressed with the impact so far. I've used the drill for a few things around the house so I didn't have to break out the big 18v. Sears pulled the same...

Half price Craftmsan goodies at Sears Parts store

You could clear them out on the screwdrivers and unload them on here in no time. I'd be in for a set too.

    4-1/2" grinder vs a 7"

I work as an industrial mechanic and probably use a grinder more in a weekend than most people do in a year. I often do large fab jobs, and I still never use our 7" grinder. Every once in a while I'll use one of our large air grinders, but 99% of the time I'm using a 4 1/2" Dewalt.

    Disc brake pad spreader

Re: Disk brake pad spreader Many VW's need to have the piston rotated correctly as it's retracted. C clamps will not work well on these situations.

It's a 12v right angle impact driver. I've used it for a few hours now and I'm happy with it. They had them marked down to $59.99 and it came with the drill pictured for free.

    Gray Stubbies: Finish Issues

If it was, it would have been nice to know. As I said the condition was posted as new. I'm going to try calling Gray on Monday. If they warranty them, great. If not, I'll live with them.

    Gray Stubbies: Finish Issues

So if you saw these pics beforehand, you would have purchased them and been happy? I understand I got a great deal, but the finish shouldn't be peeling off a new wrench.

    Gray Stubbies: Finish Issues

I think I'm going to try to go through Gray for a warranty replacement first. I wanted to see if anyone else was having similar issues to mine. All of my wrenches have the same bubble that yours do on the tip of the open end. The one that really bugs me is the 7mm where the finish is completely...
