    Wobble extensions?

Not sure about all but the ones I have from Craftsman, Kobalt and Gearwrench do it. First click is wobble, second is solid.

    craftsman ratchet 43765

IF it turns and clicks you can get the tooth count. Just count the number of clicks for a quarter turn and multiply by 4. You will get pretty close. My guess is you will get about 8 but curious none the less.

Have you "hit the wall" with your Snap-on purchases?

I plan to start replacing some of my less expensive tools with Snap On as I go along. I picked up sets that cover my needs now from brands like Craftsman with the idea in mind that I will want better tools later. Now, my main point for posting here. To complain about the price of SO tools at...

im pack - The listing has been renewed daily for about a month.

    Craftsman socket plating quality

They all look like something I could get work done with. I guess I'm not too picky about the finish.

    Tools from the old world

Your second photo took me a minute to figure out what I was looking at. When I first saw it all I could see was the wood with the files in the background. I had to look away and come back to see the files first. Ha.

    Let's see your toolbox.

You certainly have the screwdrivers covered. Nice looking bag and tools (great quality). Sure is more than I used to carry when I was out in the field doing telecom work. Thing is though I worked with what the company provided. Had Craftsman Pro drivers but they were all stolen at one point and...

    Ratchet recommendations

Speaking of Harry Epsteins and Wright, I see they have a nice 3/8 in the closeout section that might work for your needs. http://store.harryepstein.com/cp/usaratchets/3490-C.html

How many ratchets do you own?

Re: How many ratchets do you own ? I had to count but I have 23. If my brother hadn't asked me what my deal was I would have a bunch more. I can't explain it but I want to collect ratchets. I use the same 2-3 all the time but like buying different styles and completing sets. In fact, I think I...

double open ended wrenchs worth keeping?

I can't think of a reason I would have to have them and don't own a set myself. BTW, 3/4 and 19mm are the same size so your set technically goes to 19. Ha. Anyhow, I start with a ratchet wrench now days and work backwards to a box or combo so if I had these they would be last on my list to use...

    Craftsman Tool Chest opinion

This reminds me, I want to move some things around to get my boxes under a bench. The picture suggests this box is in good shape and should be a fine box to own. Much better than what Craftsman is putting out today.

    Ultimate ratchet? 100% Titanium

To keep the environment sterile. The guy in the boiler room or the guy on the ladder changing bulbs need not apply, this is meant for those that work in and around patient areas on the medical equipment.

tools you thought you would never use

Duckbill pliers. They came in a set long ago and just looked odd to me at the time. Who wants a fat needle nose I said to my teenage self. They are among my favorite pair now and have been for 20+ years.

    84'' snap on epiq

I like the white but you may have trouble selling it in the future if you decide to do so. Red and black are easier, more common colors to move.

    great alignment tools?

Glad I don't live up north when it comes to this kind of thing. Even on cars 20+ years of age I just use a couple of wrenches and spin the nut loose. Rare that I have run into a nut on a tie rod that has been too difficult to remove around here. Lucky for us.

    What's this mystery tool??

I'm not in medical but it looks similar to an intestinal clamp. Agree that O.R. is for operating room.

What tool/tools did you buy SAE years ago, that you wish you had in Metric?

When I buy I budget for both SAE and Metric so I can't think of anything right now. Wish everything was just one or the other to reduce cost.

    Quick release ratchets

I have both styles and can't say I prefer one over the other. Valid points have been made for both styles. My main concern is handle length and shape as well as head size. If I were to pick anything for either side I guess I could say I like the look of non quick release better but it's not the...

The Panic, Over lost tools???? share your stories.

I can't think of any tools I misplaced but I had a work truck broke into and "lost" a bunch. They took everything I didn't have with me in my bag. Bad part is it was in the employee lot of the business I was doing the work for and to get to the lot you had to pass a guard. It had to be one of...

I learned what the triangles on a tape measure are for

I wanted to add to your point. As we move forward I agree we will indeed see more spacing between joists and studs. If you take a thermal scan of an exterior insulated wall you will see cold zones that match the studs. Wood alone is a poor insulator compared to systems like blown in foam. Each...
