    Wilton Vise Worth the Restoration?

Okay, so I'm getting in contact with whoever the "possible owners" are to make sure I take away their "junk pile". The thing that worries me is looking at some the parts from grainger, its going to cost a fair amount of $$, which I currently have none. Hopefully, it'll be an elbow grease only...

    Wilton Vise Worth the Restoration?

Okay, so I know there are a lot of threads about vise's etc. I've never done a vise restoration, but I found this Wilton 00178 Vise out in my works boneyard. I can get it for free, but don't know if its worth the hassle and am in need of opinions. When I first got it the jaws were completely...

I know another toolbox restoration thread. This is my first restoration so try to be kind :lol_hitti . So I sanded the entire thing down with 60 grit, wiped it down. Did two spray can of satin black primer then waited 48 hrs. This is the current photo of the first "brush-on" application of...

    The Weekender: Tune-Up

So no major updates. Took the grandfathers toolbox and applied (brushed on) the first coat of Safety Coat Red. It will look good, however, I think I should have stuck with Carnival red, I think it's a better color match. Next weekend I will sand it down with 420 grit and spray it with an...

Budgeting Costs for a New Garage

I'll throw this out here since this is what I'm looking into doing. Again, as everyone has stated it all is variable, your work (and the value of your time) vs. paying someone else for their time. If the link doesn't work search (in the HomeDepot.com website) "garage kits." For ordering you...

    Show your new tool arrivals

Here is my free haul thanks to my dad. Cart was my grandfathers (as are most of the tools) and the OTC toolbox was his. Both in need of restoration. Newer craftsman is mine that was stuck in a storage abyss.
