I have a 242-5N that was built in 1987. It has a 5hp Marathon motor that turns at 1750 rpm. It's quiet, and I love it. It looks like the one you're looking at has a Marathon as well, judging from the end cap. I say if it sounds good and builds pressure, $300 is a great deal.
