I want to say that it is around 4-5" deep, the big dead blow was too tall to get shadowed in vertically. If you would like I can get a hard measurement on it tomorrow.

For the money you are talking about, I would hunt around on ebay for a used Dotco, or maybe an Atlas Copco. I,ve got one of each, and they are great tools. The dotco has a great trigger and is perfect for finer work. While the atlas is a little more on/off and much louder, but will handle...

Johnson's paste wax has worked very well for me, with the added bonus of already being in the tool box for the waxing the maple top and use as a release agent for composite repairs. Some of the stranger bucking bars and lesser used tools have been sitting for more than a year with no problems...

the larger set of tin snips are curved blade, I am not entirely sold on taking them to work, they have already made it 100 years, and are really nice for what I do around the house.
