My 1970 Ariens 22999 Blower Project

Believe it or not, my Grandmother had an 8 horse with electric start. She would put on her snowmobile suit and clear her driveway, about 800 ft with turn around. Unfortunately, the Ariens along with Grandma are long gone. I agree, tire chains are the thing to get. ffemtdisp

    Streamlight info

Sounds familiar. I had an original stylus, uses AAAA cells. I ran it over with my truck and dented the case. It worked till batteries went dead. I ran into a rep of theirs at a gun shop and asked if he had any ideas about repairing it. He said mail it in. I did with explanation that my stupidity...

I have a Streamlite stylus. Actually it is the second one. I lost the first one, finding it a month after the battery leaked. I spoke to a StreamLite Rep at a show, he advised me to send it back and they would replace it, even though I screwed up. I did so and they did replace it. I ran over...

Dayton tool box: Restore or not?

Dayton is a Grainger brand name, IIRC. Dayton is to Grainger, as Craftsman, Kenmore is to Sears. I have my Dad's Dayton chainsaw. It is a Poulan, with different paint and badge. The crew here should be able to suggest who might have made it. If it looks solid, why not restore?

    it's 2013 garage sale season!...

What Provincial said, also for measuring depth of furrow, Harry Ferguson developed the concept for an all in one wrench for his plows. Also, unofficially, it has been used by many as a "gas gauge" for their tractor. Wish I could find one for a buck :eyecrazy...

The Panic, Over lost tools???? share your stories.

I lost my Father's Stanley hammer 40+ years ago. I was 4, and "helping" Dad work on our chicken coop outside. He wasn't too upset about it, but I always meant to get a metal detector after we tore it down years later and try to find it.

How do you clean and store your suction tubing?

In my part-time job, suction tubing is one to a customer and disposed of. After clearing mucous and vomit out of a person's mouth/airway in the ambulance, its one and done!

Reading Glasses, are there any good ones?

I have been blessed by the Almighty to have had 20/20 vision til age 47. I still technically do, but the Optometrist told me, "If you want to, get +1 reading glasses anywhere" due to natural aging. He could well have tried to sell them to me from the shop out front.

    Recommend a medic bag?

http://www.larescue.com/O2.html "O2 To Go Pro Plus" I researched bags three years ago for my Ambulance Service, and these are what I purchased. For a BLS ambulance, one bag handles it all. Room, pouches, space for an Oxygen tank. (or water bottles) Maybe too much for a week-ender bag, but it...
