Hi, The SHARS will cost you 3 times what it is available elsewhere! These Imports are pretty much made in the same Factory to the same specs... To bad they don't cut them a little tighter, but it can be fixed pretty easy... Just bought this one to play with and a lot cheaper than Shars...

Hi, For the OP, if you go with one of the Generic QCTP, spend the extra $15 and get the Wedge type. It will be a little loose in tolerance but can be "tuned", to tighten it up and works very well. The Dorians and Aloris, are nice but will cost about what you paid for the whole Lathe...
