Hi, Decided to work on the Cutter Head today... It was rust pitted and so bad would not remove with just sanding, so... Chucked it in the Lathe and took some skim cuts. Ended up removing .010, which is not to bad and then finish with some 120 Wet Dry, for a mat finish. Better I think!

Hi, It's not work if you enjoy it! There's also satisfaction in saving a nice Machine from the Scrape Pile... I don't think I could of got those rusted in Set Screws on the Fence without my BP Mill... Had to "drill" a hole in them with carbide tooling to get an easy out to work, then...

Hi, And the tear down continues... Had to heat the blind cap with a hand held torch to get it free... The Seller said the Jointer had never been outside, but I have my doubts. from what I am seeing!

Hi, Working on the Rockwell 37-290 4" Jointer, a LOT of rust! The Set Screws are 1/4X32, for some reason. Found out cheapest way to get new ones is make them myself!

Hi, Love that Craftsman Base! Keeping my eyes open for a deal on a CM 113 Jointer with that same Base! Might put up a Want Ad, and see if you can find a T2, you will be amazed how it transforms that Saw!!! I also have a BOSCH Router Table, love it!

Hi, There are some used Fences on the Bay for about $150, which is what I paid new years ago. Everything has gone thru the roof lately, and used would be an option if I was looking now. The OEM Fence on my Saw was outright useless and went to the Dump!

Hi, Well just picked it up and the Gentleman selling it was from England! The 2 slicer I bought had belonged to his Mother and she passed. He had a 4 slicer already so did not need it. Said it was 2 years old and it looks brand new not a scratch on it! Thanks for the feed back!
