    Washer plumbing in basement garage

Hopefully there's a plumber on here who can give me some sound advice. I'm wanting to relocate our washer/dryer, which is currently sitting in a half bathroom on the main level. This is the bathroom that our children would primarily use; however, the master bathroom is the only full bathroom...

Ball Joint Press - How many tons?

Anyone know how many tons of pressure one of those c-clamp style ball joint presses is capable of? I've looked and looked and haven't found any real answer. I know it probably depends somewhat of the quality of the product but I would just like a general idea.

    Hardware, o-ring, washer question

I picked up a 6hp pressure washer off of craigslist for $50 (I know I ****). Well it will be a true score if I can get the pressure washer gun/wand to stock leaking. I pulled it apart and initially discovered a broken rubber o-ring. Easy fix? Yes should've been. Well, about 5 o-rings later...

My Haul of Random Stuff Today

I had an interesting haul today. I got all of this stuff for free from a family member. I'm interested in keeping very little of it and most of it I promised to try to sell for this family help to help her out. With that said, I don't know much about a lot of this stuff and am looking for...

    Blackhawk Toolbox Restoration

I picked up this junked out toolbox from a garage sale for $20. The guy told me that it was an old craftsman box. All I could tell was that the toolbox was older and therefore likely USA made. Needing a toolbox to stack on top of my kobalt branded box (clearance from lowes) this was a bit of...

    Help me identify this box

Just picked this up. All I know is that in the top storage area it says MADE IN USA 1978. $20 took it home... please tell me I did well, other than the fact I need to work on the paint some. https://docs.google.com/open?id=0BwcrSYefbpEVSl9BOE5WejIwTTQ

    A stupid question...

When ripping a nut off of a bolt with an impact, what is the preferred tool to hold the bolt still to keep it from spinning? Is it ok to just use a ratchet or could the impact have adverse affects on it. Is it preferable just to use a wrench? Just curious.

$20 gift card to spend at the Home Depot

Not sure what to get. Maybe pliers, screwdrivers, vise-grips. What should I get that I don't know I can't live without? I'm willing to invest a little extra if I really can't live without it :)

What should I pay? Old Walker Jack (4 ton)

I don't have much information to go off of right now, but I have an opportunity to pick up a Walker floor jack. The description says that there is a broken piece in the saddle area and that the pump needs to be rebuilt. The asking price is $50. I'm in need of a new floor jack, and this would...

First Post: New Air Compressor, time to buy tools!

Hi Everyone. I just happened to run into this message board and like what I've seen so far. Just like the title says, I am getting a new air compressor. I'm waiting to have it delivered. It is a 20 gallon 155 psi Husky air compressor from the home depot. It seems to just have enough power...
