Anyone know how many tons of pressure one of those c-clamp style ball joint presses is capable of? I've looked and looked and haven't found any real answer. I know it probably depends somewhat of the quality of the product but I would just like a general idea.

When ripping a nut off of a bolt with an impact, what is the preferred tool to hold the bolt still to keep it from spinning? Is it ok to just use a ratchet or could the impact have adverse affects on it. Is it preferable just to use a wrench? Just curious.
