Stuck Ridgid chuck on vintage Craftsman DP

I posted about my "new" Craftsman 113-24580 15-1/2" drill press last month. I still can't get the collared Ridgid Supreme 6T33C chuck off so I made a video hoping someone who has such a chuck can offer advice to remove this beast. Thanks, Brian

My "new" Craftsman 113-24580 15-1/2" drill press

Getting this thread started now and will revisit and expand later today. I just picked up this Craftsman 113-24580 drill press, made in 1969. I actually had the same model bench top press a few years ago and stupidly sold it in preparation for a move - I thought I would spread out the pain of...

    What is this Craftsman tool?

Picked this up at a charity thrift store yesterday, along with some nice old Vaco nut drivers. What's it for? Cheers, Brian

Please identify these Austrian drill bits

I picked up some fine tools at an estate sale last weekend. The owner is 93 and still pretty spry, but was a bit of a hoarder. I don't know when her husband died but there were a fair number of tools there, including this drill bit set. - Any idea who made these? All the large bits are stamped...

American Tube Company bottle jack, United Aircraft Products

Picked up this old bottle jack today. It appears to be old and American-made, but I'm not sure, perhaps it was marketed by American Tube but made elsewhere? Can anyone give an estimate when this was made? It's not functioning at all - but when I lift the piston up it is sort of sucked back...

Help needed with Canedy-Otto Royal 16 drill press

Well, I've been looking for an old American DP since I foolishly sold my late-60s Emerson-made Craftsman 15-1/2" bench top DP before a move earlier this year. Stopped by a nearby estate sale this weekend at the home of a 94 year-old amateur welder and hobbyist who is moving to a senior home...

    Greetings from lovely Oakland, Calif

Hi all, I stumbled on GJ looking for plans to build a workbench in my "garage," then got hooked on "The vises of GJ" thread. It took me about 3 months to read through that monster - which has been great, although not conducive to my efforts to refrain from the siren call of those "new" old...
