    Rigid Pipe Threader

Looking for insight/recommendations on Rigid pipe threader models and sizing. Application is 1/2" to 1-1/4" UNC threads up to 12" long on much longer stock (10'+). No use for NPT/pipe thread cutting, if it makes any difference.

    Above 1200 Sq/FT 3,000SF Timber Frame/Vintage Truck/Engineer's Catchall

Welcome, I joined this forum when I was still a teenager and frequently marveled at the many large workshops and barns showcased here. A decade+ down the road it's now my turn. TLDR: I began working in the timber frame industry in 2011 after high school. After 5 years building countless...

    Hookit to Stikit Adapter Pad

I inadvertently purchased a large box of 3M 5" DA pads in the Stikit (adhesive) style vs. the Hookit (velcro). I'd prefer not to toss $125 in discs but cannot locate a simple adapter pad that will attach to an electric DA with velcro, that adapts to a hard face that the Skitit disc can adhere...

    Pro Eagle "Offroad" Jacks

Does anyone have one of these? I do a lot of work in the driveway (gravel) and regularly lift front ends that weigh 5,000lb. They say the bigger model will do 3 tons but I am skeptical. https://www.proeagle.com/

    Plate/Sheet Squaring Shears

Doing an increasing amount of sheetmetal work as part of restorations, looking to pick up a 48" shear. If I'm going to drop $1500-2000 on a 16g foot stomp Tennsmith, I figure I might as well increase budget and get a small squaring shear. Local CL has a Niagara No. 64 which does full width...

It is a high tensile steel mainly used in truck frames, heavy equipment, etc. My attachments will include everything from basic plumbing/wiring bracketry to...

    Remove tiny broken bolt

Some vibrations tonight led me to snap an insert off a 2" shell mill, well the insert is fine it's the tiny bolt that holds them on that broke. It's about 2mm major diameter and broken off maybe 20-25thou below the plane that the insert sits against. Any ideas?? Am I going to be on the hunt...

    Handheld Planishers

I am looking to build a handheld planisher. Has anyone made their own? To be blunt the ones of acceptable quality are in the thousands, and I just don't see the parts and material as worth it. Thinking of something small, maybe 18" reach. Ideally I'd like to avoid using an actual air hammer...

    Power Wagon Resto-Mod Thread...

I have this build on a couple of forums but I figure all you folks would enjoy following along too! The build will be as follows: '96 180hp Cummins, mild pump mods, injectors, maybe a 62 or 63mm turbo. G56, after towing with my friends 24v 6 speed, I'll never buy another 5 speed...

Tracing system for funky shaped object.

I am building a windshield frame from scratch and need some 1/8" plate cut to cap it off as trim. The windshield opening is straight on the bottom, with 4 tight radius corners that flow into radius'd sides and top. Is there any affordable system I can get so as to trace it and then import the...

    Stepping up to Miller 252

I currently have a Miller 180 Autoset. Used it to restore a truck, and do general repairs and such. Now that I'm getting into custom suspension systems I feel as though the 180 is a little small. From here on out I will still be doing body panel repair, but also chassis work. Mostly 1/4"...

    Drywall Sander recommendations

I am looking to pick up a drywall sander as I have a few rooms that need to be totally sanded, mudded, sanded, and primed/painted. Seems as though everything is around $500 except for Festool. Does anyone on here do it for a living and have a recommendation?

    South Bend Heavy 10

Hi All- I figure it's about time to get myself a lathe, as I am tired of having to bother shops for such small projects. A restored Heavy 10 popped up north of me for $1500, from what I gather from ebay that is a decent price if it is in good condition, which the seller claims. Any...

    Reznor LP heater not heating...

In my garage I have a Reznor V3 Tcore heater that runs off of LP. This winter it has started to have some issues. Upon start up it lights the burner as expected, however when the fan turns on the burner shuts off, and all I get is cold air. :shocking: The indicator light flashes to...

    Repairing SK Wayne forged wrench

In a bout of eagerness I broke my 16" SK Wayne adjustable wrench trying to left-loosey a left handed 1.5" wheel lug. Any tips on the best way to fix this correctly? Mig is no stranger but I was not sure about the "forged alloy" part.
