    Wright warranty

Well I have been on garage journal for awhile and always thought tool warranty was WAY over done. Figured if you treat your tools right, warranty should be the last thing you need to worry about.... Well, my 3/8 Wright ratchet that I purchased 2017 HJE day blew the socket retaining ball...

    Wright or Snapon sockets

Looking at replacing my old G series Craftsman 1/4 drive sockets (SAE and Metric) Looking for a noticeable upgrade. Have decided either Snap on or Wright. I have a Wright set at work, but never seen the Snap on first hand. I don’t mind spending the extra $$ as long as I can see a difference in...

I don't understand why they don't stamp "USA"

Just received some Apex bits. Even though I believe they are Made in USA, they aren't stamped. I had a Wright hex socket set that wasn't stamped either.... It just surprises me why some US companies don't label their products. The competition with cheap imports I would think is hard enough, I...

    SK Cushion Grip Screwdrivers

I'm guessing it's probably already been mentioned, but aren't they EXACTLY the same as the old Craftsman Professional? Thought Western Forge made them for Craftsman, I guess they kept the same molds for SK? (I don't remember them having these years ago?... maybe not...)

    SK tools core focus

Wondering where SK focuses where they push and sell thier tools. They have an impressive tool line, but I wonder what their core end users are? Snap on, Mac, Matco are all automotive centered mainly with their tool trucks. Wright seems like it's focused on the the Industrial side. (Seems to...

    Bench grinder power

I mounted my bench grinder and looking to see how others ran their power cords. Hate to have the cord laying on the bench and plugged into the wall in front of the bench. I was going to center an outlet on the bench, haven't done it yet because i'm still trying to figure out how I want to plug...

New Wright hex sockets not stamped USA

Just purchased a new 1/4 drive SAE hex socket set and was surprised that there was no USA on the socket. I did see some of the hex inserts stamped USA, but none of the sockets. I'm assuming it is made in USA, but found it odd that it isn't marked...:dunno:

    New Craftsman Pro series toolbox

Saw this today. Actually was very impressed. It was sitting close to the old Premium Series, and it's an improvement to it. 200lb slides and the center full length drawer has 2 slides. Drawers seem sturdier and roll very smoothly. Box is 21 inches deep. It's not as good as my Waterloo HD box...

    SK Hex bit sockets

Anybody have these? Hex sockets I like to buy decent quality since these is a lot of poor stuff out there and most situations it pays to get the good stuff.. Does Wright make any?

First impression of SK and Wright......

I purchased a SK and Wright ratchet set on Epstein Day (along with a wrench of each) and thought I would share my opinions. I don't have access to SK or Wright to see first hand in a store, but after reading numerous threads regarding these, I decided to take the plunge... The ratchets... The...

what to do about my workbench....

I built my 9ft long workbench at my new house about a year ago. Built it with standard lumber (2x4 frame with 2x10 top) This is how we've built our benches on the farm years ago, they age and look good over time with constant use. With this being at my house (instead of an equipment building)...

    Craftsman Thin Profile Ratchets

My Sears hasn't had any in stock for 3-4 months now. I noticed that it was about the same time the 75 tooth models came out. I was originally thinking the 75 tooth was to replace the RP ratchet, but since I haven't seen any new Thin Profile ratchets come in, maybe those are being phased out...

    craftsman socket detents

I'm looking at getting a Snap on ratchet. I have all Craftsman USA sockets. I have noticed in past threads some complaining about how Craftsman sockets have a double internal detents. (don't know what else to call them) It seemed to me the most that complained were Snap on guys. I don't...
