Bosch 10" Dual Bevel Sliding Miter Saw - $399.99 OR...

Bosch 10" Dual Bevel Sliding Miter Saw Menards has this saw on sale until the 15th for $399.99 which is a really good deal. However... Both Lowes and Home Depot carry this saw too and they price match minus 10%, so if you bring the ad into either location they should sell you this saw for...

Titan vs. HF/Kobalt - not the same

Just to clear some things up, the Titan ratchets (at least the non composites) are distinctly different while being visually similar. Here are the photos showing the difference. Basically they are similar, but definitely not the same. Titan (left) HF (center) Kobalt (right) image

    Cheap ratcheting flex head wrenches...

Alright...before anybody freaks out about getting better quality it's just for my travel tools. Been doing the whole travel and fix misc stuff at the parents, in-laws, brother and friends thing for awhile and I want to add a small set of flex head ratcheting wrenches to the kit. I don't (and...

    Consumables organization...

I am sure there are many pages on this, but I've not had the easiest time finding them. (feel free to post links). I am trying to organize my consumables, specifically hex bits (screwdriver), drill bits that didn't come in a case, reciprocating blades, jigsaw blades, circular saw blades, and my...

    ball bearing drawer slides

Okay guys... I am rehabbing a Kirkland Signature gas grill from Costco, and i would like to replace the drawer slides. I am actually surprised they used ball bearing slides, and 10 balls per slide. Interesting. There are some **** tool boxes that don't do that. I have a cover for it too, so i...

    HF Groove Joint Pliers

Just an interesting bit of information...with more and more offshore production moving to China, the new Pittsburgh Pro groove joint pliers are now made in Taiwan. The old Pittsburgh Pro's were made in China. The new set look and feel nice too. Just thought it was worth mentioning. *and this...

    Central A/C unit

Okay, here goes... I am shopping for a central A/C unit to replace my 10 year old Lennox. The Lennox never really performed like I hoped, and truthfully, I am happy to replace it. Here's what I know. It was a 1.5 ton unit, but should have been a 2 ton. Literally every bid has told us the...

Stanley 3/8 ratchet warranty - A good experience

So, I have a Stanley 89-818 3/8 drive Professional Grade pear head ratchet. It's returning to center when I do anything, pretty much making it worthless. I've had this problem with this model of ratchet before, so I found my original packaging, called the number and spoke to a friendly lady at...

    3 Phase Grinder? DIY garage?

Okay, I know nothing about 3 phase motors, or grinders other than what they do. I have a chance to pick up a 3 phase 3/4 horse grinder, cheap. He says it turns over but won't run on 110. That makes it pretty much useless to me too. Is this right, or what's it going to require to make it work. Help?

    Harbor Freight - Kobalt Ratchets

Here's my question... Kobalt makes a 3/8 flex head ratchet and Harbor Freight makes a flexible ratchet. Both are the same heads with different handles attached. Kobalt also uses the same head to make a standard length ratchet. If that's the case, why doesn't HF? Maybe it's a non compete issue...

Who made the Craftsman Professional Pliers

Or more importantly is there a rebrand of them...I know my Craftsman Professional screwdrivers are the same as the SK cushiongrips. I was just wondering if the pliers had a rebranded equivalent. Thanks!

    Solid Wood Garage Door...

I am going to refinish two single car solid wood garage doors. Right now they're painted, but I use that term loosely, as the paint is peeling off in chunks. I really want to clean them up and varnish (poly, clear, whatever) and call it a day. What would everybody recommend for getting the old...

    sk screwdrivers - 70's style

I am looking for the 70's version of the sk screwdrivers, the green and white version to be specific. To make a long story short, I'd like to replace some I lost, or abused beyond use years ago. They were my fathers, and while he didn't seem too upset at the time, it bothers me now. If anybody's...

New Harbor Freight 44" tool box problem...

Well, I finally bought the legendary Harbor Freight US General 44" box with the coupon. I must say I am very pleased! I've already got it filled up with tools and will need another. However, there's a problem (waiting for the truck guys to stop laughing)...the top full width drawer didn't feel...

Well, that pretty much sums it up... I need a 20mm 12point 3/8 drive socket. Pretty sure the number is 9-44268. If you've got one you're willing to give up, let me know. I don't want the laser etching though. Thanks!

    Amazon - Add On

Amazon has started a new (at least to me) "add on" program. The way it works is like this...Unless you spend $25 we're not shipping you the item. Period. No ability to override, or purchase under any circumstances. Don't believe me...give this a shot...
