Use for old garage door tracks?

I have a set of garage door tracks - minus the bends I cut off so I could just store the straights. I couldn’t get myself to toss the tracks, but are there any good/cool/useful ways to reuse these things or am I just being a packrat?

Huh. Didn’t know I had these.

Going through some of the old tool boxes Ive gathered over the years and found these. The small Ridgid wrench kind of cracked me up next to the big Channellock pliers.

Electric heater hour/run meter to figure KWHs?

Is there a simple, fairly inexpensive way to capture how many hours my shop heater runs? I'd like to track it for the season out of curiousity if it's not a big deal to do. The unit is direct wired (no plug) 7kw and 240v on its own circuit if that even matters. I was going to add a smart...

Add remote t-stat for electric shop heater.

I have a King KBP-2406 240v electric heater and I think I want a remote thermostat for it. Anyone know if it is doable and even better, can I control one with an app from anywhere? Does it have to be 240v or is there a way to do this with low voltage? What do I need and how do I do it?

WIFI Security Cameras - Need advice!

I want to have at least 3 Security cameras on my property. I'd prefer to not deal with running video cables, but they will be near power. I would like them to monitor motion and store video for at least 7 days for free and be iOS accessible. Doesn't matter too much to me if it is cloud or NVR...

Sealer or Densifier Over Old Behr Concrete Stain??

My garage floor got a coat of Home Depot/Behr concrete stain about 5 years ago and needs to be coated again. Stain has worn off is spots - no peeling really, just wore off. My goal was for an easy floor coating to control how much this floor was dusting that wouldn't peel. It worked out pretty...

    25-30 year old Milwaukee Grinder

I have an old Milwaukee 6145 angle grinder with a s/n of 627-19730. I think it is late 80's early 90's from what I can tell and the paddle switch keeps hanging up after I release it and stays running. Worth getting the switch replaced or is there a simple fix for these? Or is it time to cut the...

$70 Quiet Air Supply for Bendpak Lift

My son has a small airbrush compressor that is almost silent. I borrowed it to try on the Bendpak lift I recently got, to open the air cylinder locks. The thing works perfectly and even has a regulator to dial in the correct psi needed. It builds the pressure needed to release the locks in just...
