    Skat Blast 780-TL Arrived.

I immediately drilled holes in it for a blow off gun, extra light and hooks to hang the blast gun and the blow off gun. I raised it 4 inches with blocks, but it could easily go up another 2. I may build a pallet for it. It's considerably more comfortable up a little bit. I'm going to vent the...

    More racedeck for the shed

I put the same color in my shed, as I did in the garage. This is the best stuff. I'm very pleased with it.

    Air line question

My blast cabinet will be in the shed, about 25ft from the garage, where the compressor is. I was wondering if a 1/2 inch line is appropriate between the two buildings. I'm going to have connectors on both buildings. Thanks.

Your media blaster and static electricity.

I purchased a Skat blast that is on the way. I've used blasters in the past and always get zapped. TP sells a grounding kit that grounds the head of the sprayer. My experience is that I get shocked touching the frame of the cabinet with my arm. I was thinking of grounding the whole unit to a...

    The electric shed

As part of my Tuff Shed garage project, I'm turning my 8x14 Tuff Shed into my dirty room. The drill press, grinders, media blaster and that kind of stuff with go into it. The first order of business was cleaning it out and putting in electric. The lights are Philips T8 LED's that drop into a...

    Air tool storage project

Lot's of good ideas here. My girlfriend recently purchased a small floor safe. It came on two steel skids. She asked if I could use them for anything. Duh! One was bent a bit, so I used the other one. This is the picture of the bent one. I worked out my little HF drill press pretty...

    Removing a decal

I have an old Ford gumball machine. I'm trying to replace the sticker on the glass bowl. I've tried: hot water, heat, WD40, MEK, and Goo Gone. Didn't make a dent. Does anyone have a better idea? Thanks. :eyecrazy:

    My air system is finished

I got the compressor from the guy I rent a hangar from, 80 gal CH. I cleaned it up and it runs great. I also got the Rapid Air system he had in the hangar. I only used a little bit of it, and gave the rest to my brother. The filter and regulator are Coil Hose. They are the industrial size...

    Barrel pump question

I need to defuel my airplane, in the past, I would use my cheapie HF suction tube. I bought a new 55 gallon barrel to store the fuel. I was looking at the HF rotary barrel pump. Do those things work in both directions? Can I defuel and fuel with it? There is no information that I can find...

    Moving a compressor

I'm buying the 80gal CH compressor that is in the hangar that I rent. I'm going to move it back to the house. I know a lift gate truck will be involved. I'm trying to think of how to actually move it. An engine hoist comes to mind. Get a pallet and a pallet jack? What have you guys done...

    Another compressor question

I'm about to pull the trigger on this: http://www.aircompressorsdirect.com/Quincy-2V41C60VC-Air-Compressor/p855.html I really liked the 80 gallon Curtis, but for the extra money, I can fund most of my Skat blast cabinet and vacuum. If anyone owns one of these and would like to chime in with...

    Shelving suggestions

My shelving idea is to put wire shelving along the ceiling of the back wall of the garage. I'll find a tub size I like and put the shelves to height of the tub. It's 29ft long, so it should provide storage I need for extra motorcycle parts and project storage. Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks...

    Expansion joint covers

I'm close to deciding on flooring. It's going to be between RD and just sealing the concrete. If I seal the concrete, I'd like to use expansion joint covers, so I can roll tool boxes and other stuff around. What are you guys using? I don't want to permanently seal the joints, just cover them up...

    Quick compressor wiring question

Hardwire or plug? I'm starting to research compressors. Right now, I'm planning to have a 220 plug installed in my garage build. What I've seen on here, is that most guys are hardwiring the compressor to the box. Can you even use a plug for something like this? Thanks. :)

    The Tuff Shed Garage Thread

The 20x29 TS garage went up Friday. I was on a trip, and didn't get to see it. I will post pictures to this thread as I progress. The inspection is tomorrow, and they will finish the roofing and main door. Paint should be this week. An electrical contractor is coming out Tuesday to do an...

    Howdy from Las Vegas

Hi! I lurked around here for a little bit learning about garage floors. I think I'm going to go with Racedeck. My 20x29 TuffShed garage went up today! I'm on a trip and didn't get to watch. I have an electric contractor coming out Tuesday for an estimate. I'm going to get this project...
