These are small 1/8 to 3/8 auger buts made by Russell Jennings. They are not cut downs of longer bits but stubby bits.
I've never seen these before and cannot find any reference to them online.
Anybody have any clues
I found this battered & broken vise at an antique store.
Through DATAMP I located the patent record by date July 25 1893.
It's made by the LEWIS LURIE VISE CO.
I'd be interested in any info.
