Can MAC hard handles be removed ?

I’ve pulled out and swapped snap on hard handles and plenty of screw driver handles with the vice and pry bar method , however I’m having a hard time with MAC. Reason I’m asking is because I recently bought a MAC XR11PA ratchet which unfortunately has a crooked hard handle that I was hoping to...

Have you ever seen a ratchet like this before ?

I found this “Canadian Tire” branded ratchet today while shopping at the local restore. It has a pretty unique way of releasing the socket. It has two pins next the drive end and when you press the spring loaded direction lever the pins protrude and will eject the socket like you wouldn’t...

Weird chuck - is it for wood or metal lathe ?

I got a pretty good deal on this chuck, and so I was hoping I can mount it to my atlas 12 inch lathe but I’m trying to figure out if this is a wood chuck or metal lathe chuck ? The thread adapter you see in the last picture is held on by 3 socket head screws , it’s a 3/4 16 TPI mount , which...

    Ford made drill bits ?!

It’s a bit of an odd thing for a car company to make … but that sure looks like the Ford motor company logo to me The other thing I’m confused about is why the top third of the MT1 taper is milled flat . I can tell that is how it was actually made because one of the drill bits actually has the...

Help removing a Snap On air hammer chuck

So I bought a used CP715 air hammer that came with a snap on PH200D quick change chuck on it and I'm having a heck of a hard time removing it from the threaded barrel. The issue is that the part that threads on to the barrel turns both in the left and right direction, but won't actually thread...

Need help on how to clean this wartime snap on set

I recently picked up this vintage snap on set , all pieces marked either G or E . Which is wartime production. My understanding is that they used cadmium to plate these tools , which is quite toxic from what I've read. I was going to wire wheel them but that seems to be out of the question now...

What are these sockets used for ?

https://ibb.co/dn84cS https://ibb.co/kOEo47 https://ibb.co/eim1P7v Bought these at an estate sale this weekend. I have no clue what it might be used for. I was thinking they might be for a surpantine belt tool but that's just a guess. They have no markings or sizes on the sockets, they're all...

Rebranded snap on drivers or knockoffs ?

Picked up these drivers from the flea market this morning. They're labelled ITC but look awfully like the older snap ons. http://cf-t.com/product/itc-isd-14-14pc-abs-handle-screwdriver-set/ This is all the info I found on them. Anyone else find them similar or know anything more about the...

anyone know who makes this German set?

Bought this at a yard sale last week, only 5 bucks. There is no mention anywhere about who makes it. I'm guessing it could be a default tune up kit that came along with a German import at some time , but I have no clue. Anyone have any ideas ?
