    Slippery Racedeck Ramps

I always have problems with my ramps slipping on the Racedeck floor when trying to drive my Subaru up them. The ramps have the rubber squares on the bottom but they get no grip on the tiles. I've tried large pieces of cardboard between the floor and ramp but that slips as well. I'm just...

    New Floor

It took about 8 hours to complete this jigsaw puzzle. Somehow I ended up with a few extra tiles which will be fun to sort out.

    Racedeck installation

When looking at the mark on the floor for the inner line of the garage door, is it necessary to set back the first row of square tiles to allow for the sloped edge to just touch that line? Hope I'm explaining this so it's understandable.

Integrating a Max Jax on a Racedeck Floor

I will soon be installing Racedeck on my 900 sq ft. garage. Wanting to add a Max Jax I figure I'll be removing tiles when I install the jack from time to time. Just curious if others have done this and how I should allow for a direct connection to the concrete.

    Racedeck

This is what 900 pounds of Racedeck looks like when it arrives. In a few weeks it'll be moved to the new garage and installed like an oversized jigsaw puzzle. Can't wait!

    H&C Crete-Seal

Has anyone had experience with H&C? It's sold through Sherwin Williams paint stores.

    Car Dolly Storage

Has anyone figured out a way to store these car jack/dollies? I end up just piling them in a corner and they always seem to be attempting escape.

    Machanics Pit

Are these still much in practice. I'm building a new house with 8 foot ceilings in the garage. Since lifts won't do much in that environment I thought I could go underground without a lot of effort. If so, what dimensions, how many steps to the bottom, etc...

    Gasoline smell

Occasionally I spill gas on my cloths, polishing rags, etc. Even after 2 or 3 washings I can still smell it. Are there any tricks to ridding myself of these odors?

    36 Inch Tool Box

I've got limited space and need just the lower portion of a tool box. Checked the usual suspects (HF, Sears, Toolbox Only) and they seem to jump from 26 inches to 41. The 26 would work but I'd like more storage space. Any suggestions?

    Air Saw Blades

I'm cutting some steel pipe in a hard to get to place so my 3" grinder is of limited use. I can get in there with my air saw but I'm going through cheap blades rapidly. Any suggestions on a quality blade that will last longer than a minute?

    Electric tool storage

I've got many 110 volt tools with, of course, attached wires. I must have a dozen but have not found a way to store them without getting the cords tangled or in a jumble as they are stored in a common locker. Any ideas?

    What's happend to Group Buy

Haven't visited the site since I bought a EZ Car Lift a couple years ago. Seems like it is not only hard to navigate and sign into, but you can't really tell what's up for sale.

    Piston Pin Circlip

For a VW/Porsche piston with a 22 mm bore I need a 23.5 circlip but am unable to find them easily. Anybody have a source? I'd love to find them locally (Seattle) but it seems easier to find a phone booth than a dealer for thes things. Granger was my first hope but they don't show them on...

    Rant on Harbor Freight

After carefully reading the exceptions on my 20% off coupon I attempted to buy an air brush kit with an included small compressor. While not excluded on the coupon, there's an additional list at the check out counter that lists any compressor as off limits to the discount. Since this kit...

Where to take dirty shop rags????

I have hundreds of those red and purple roughly 12 X 12 cotton shop rags that I'd like to trade in for clean ones. I've checked all over the Seattle area but can't find a source for us civilians to trade. Not enough business for a truck to come by regularly on a route. Any ideas in this city...

    Carb cleaners

I've just disassembled a Solex carb and instead of taking it to a shop for cleaning, is there something I can soak it in at home in order to get the crud out of it? Will normal solvent do is or is there a magic sauce available?
