    Has anyone made a pair of 'plates" to make a 2 post lift lift by the tires.... In Other words, how about making a pair of "channels to go on top of the 2 post lift arms so that you could drive a small (3000#) car on it and lift the car by the tires.....

    Raised ceiling

    I am going to install a lift in a 9' ceiling height garage...there is attic space above. I want to make an 2' area of space about 5' wide by 10' long. This means cutting the joists (joists run across)...how do I retain the structure in that area?
