20A or 30A circuit for small workshop area?

Recently built a small structure on the back corner of my house near my 4 post lift that I intend to use as a workshop. It’s only about 100sqft so nothing crazy, just some place to store my tools, have a nice workbench to work on things and what not. There are no outlets outside at all really...

Any issues with mounting an auto retractable hose reel horizontally/sideways?

With where I want to mount it in my carport, I want to mount it on the ceiling to not take up walking space, but ceiling mounting it would have it hang too long and I’d hit my head on it. If I could mount it horizontally then I’d be able to mount it up high on the wall and not have it be in the way.

Need new hydraulic hose, does any work?

I sliced into my hydraulic line because it got tangled on the motor mount. It’s a triumph lift, but does any hydraulic line work? Not sure if the fittings will be the same is my worry. It’s not leaking right now but obviously that extra layer of protection is there for a reason so I’d like to...

Are all Power Unit Relocation Brackets the same or similar?

Was going to order the Auto Lift relocation bracket when ordering my lift, but $72 seems high for what is essential a bent piece of metal. I've found other lift manufacturers sell them around $40 (I'd have to see about shipping might cost the same in the end). Or is there a cheaper way of...

Anyone familiar with the "Auto Lift" Brand?

Going to pull the trigger on the Auto Lift FP8K-DX-XLT in the next couple of weeks, and probably get their 3500lbs sliding jack as well. I've researched on this forum for the FP8K lifts and found only a few results, but none of them mentioned anything particularly bad which is a good sign. I...

After much deliberating, I've decided to go with a 4 Post Lift. Just 1 more question

I've made a few posts the past couple weeks trying to get everything in order for a 2 post lift. After going back and forth in my head, I've come to the conclusion that a 4 post better suits my needs, and also will make my life a lot easier when it comes to actually installing. I think I've...

Is it best to pour new concrete if you can’t be certain what strength your existing s

I’m getting closer to purchasing my lift, have my shade structure up, electrical is figured out, so I thought I was ready to go. One thing my dad is bringing up is the concrete slabs where I’ll be installing the lift. I know it’s 4” thick, from the concrete anchors I put for my shade structure...

Any similar lifts as the Atlas 9KOH?

I had this lift saved in my bookmarks for a while, now I'm nearly ready to order and its temporarily unavailable! Not sure if this is because of the coronavirus or if this specific lift is just outdated now. I'm going for "affordable" aka cheap. Not because i want an unsafe/cheap product, but...

How many amps does a typical 2-Post Lift use when in operation?

I know most lifts require a 30 amp breaker, but is it required for that Lift to be the ONLY thing on that breaker? Reason I ask is I'm planning on installing a lift, and where I'd be installing it is within extremely close proximity to the laundry room. I'm wondering if I can tap into that...

Using Schedule 40 Galvanized Pipe as frame for carport. Good idea or bad?

After looking at plenty of pre-made "temporary" carport kits, I'm leaning to just going about it myself. It'll be more expensive, but I feel it'll be sturdier and allow me to get my exact dimensions i need/want to utilize. Instead of the typical 10' by 20' I can do 11'-10" by 21' which perfectly...

Installing lift outside, good or bad idea?

I'm in the process of building a "garage" workspace on a concrete slab in my backyard/side of my house. I don't have the funds to build a complete structure, and want to use what I have available. I also don't see this house being my "forever home" so I don't want to put too much money/effort...

Options for Automated RV Gate to Backyard

I'm in the process of getting a little car-workspace area set up on a concrete slab in my backyard. This slab is connected to my front driveway with an RV gate dividing the two. I'm trying to find a way to have this gate open with a clicker. Right now the gate is composed of 2 separate inward...
