Add switch for a 24volt lift?

I am in the process of final wiring my lift. I would like to put a switch on one of the 120 volt legs. This will allow me to turn off the switch when I am not using the lift and prevent my kids from playing with it. Is this acceptable?

Voltage drop possible issue with 12/3?

I was planning on running a 12/3 wire off of a 240v/20a breaker to power all the wall outlets. I chose 12/3 so I can alternate phases of voltage with the outlets. The possible issue is the outlet on farthest from the panel is 125 feet away. Should I be concerned with vlotage drop?

I am feeding 100 amps, to a 100 amp panel in a barn approximately 150 away. The local electrical sore suggested I run 2-2-2 aluminum. I looked at a voltage drop chart and the chart said that 2-2-2 aluminum will feed 100 amps 50 feet max. Since I am going 140 feet the chart recommended to use 2/0...
