Anyone know what this is/who made it?

So I inherited these handy little pliers….we were changing out a fuel pump and running new pump to carb plumbing on my buddy’s Jeep yesterday. When I brought these out, he demanded to know who made it and where to get a set…..problem is I have no idea. Google has been absolutely useless, both...

    Fuel line pliers?

Doing some work on my buddy’s Jeep this morning, he was enamored with my little tube cutter pliers. Pretty much wants a set for himself and his entire family - problem is that I inherited them, and Google searching the part number was useless. Only marking on them is “HM 9903” and “Made in USA”...

    Clutch head screwdrivers

Does anyone know of where one can source a decent clutch head screwdriver anymore? I bought the CTA set and am not too happy with their total lack of hardness (just rounded one off on a Holley metering plate). I found some 1/4” bits, but would like a good set of dedicated drivers as well...

    Mismarked wrench

Cleaning up and putting away the tools after today’s puttering around……just noticed a wrench marked “Sabnia Oh” instead of “Sabina”…… now I’m going to be up all night looking through the drawers for more of this…… Guessing the QC guy was a little hungover that day🤣

    Old Mac spark tester

Digging through some of my stuff I inherited, I found this old Mac ST-20 spark tester…..still in original box with paperwork. Any idea as to approximate age? I didn’t find anything googling it.

    More new boxes…..question on ages

Just got done unloading 3 more boxes that I inherited….only date code I could find was the Mac is marked January ‘75. Anyone got any ideas as to the age of the others? I’m guessing the Cornwell is newer based on the larger size, but I could be way off.

    Box ID help

Hello all - I have recently come into possession of a treasure trove of tools (entire lifetime’s worth) and will be asking about quite a bit of stuff. My first question is what this little SnapOn box is: Considering the lack of any actual locking provision, and that the drawers are held in...

The things you find when cleaning

Working on my shop project today, and got into the task I’ve been carefully avoiding which is sorting through several decades worth of acquired domestic detritus. After clearing a shelf of various forgotten gardening accessories, I noticed something shiny toward the back…… I was surprised to...

    Vintage Craftsman box color

I have obtained an older Craftsman top chest, 60’s era I am guessing for the princely sum of “come get it if you might want it”. Someone at some juncture pulled out one drawer and painted it green, and slathered what appears to be some form of epoxy down one side. All told it’s pretty straight...

    Decent cheap toolbox

Does anyone know who makes a half decent 26” rollaway at a decent price anymore? I acquired a US General cart, but really need something lockable for all the stuff that isn’t regularly used. Right now I’ve got most of it stuck in a 48” gangbox that is really a giant headache. Been scouring...

    Long 1/4” drive speeder

Good afternoon all, Now that I’ve got the basics all covered (again), starting to look for the oddball stuff that just made life easier. One of my favored obscure tools was a 12” long 1/4” driver handle (basically an extension with a screwdriver handle). The one I had was obtained umpteen years...

HF 4 drawer cart lock question

I’ve recently acquired an older Harbor Freight 4 drawer cart through some horse trading, and it’s in pretty good shape….needs a cleaning and wax job, and the key for the lock is long gone. Harbor Freight’s parts list on the website don’t show it, so I need to try and track down a new one. Is...

    Anybody know what this is?

While touring a local antique store with the wife, I came across this little one drawer box. For the asking price of $3, I couldn’t resist procuring it. It’s about 7x7 square, and there’s some .750 flat strap coming out the sides that has been cut off (was a handle maybe?). There was clearly a...

    Genius Tools Ratchets

I was looking at the Genius hard handle ratchets on Amazon and they look like a pretty good deal for the money. Does anyone have any experience good or bad with these ratchets?

    Starting over again

Hello all, new guy here. Found this site while researching tool companies and looks to be a wealth of information. I was hit by tweakers, and 30 years worth of mechanics tools and my rollaway are now gone. So now I’m starting to rebuild (on basically a shoestring budget) and looking for advice...
