    Moving outside faucet - PEX

Advice and opinions needed. My outside faucet is about 6 feet away from where it should be. I currently have to crawl behind some trees to get it. I want to extend the outlet about 6 feet, including at least two 90 degree outside and inside corners to allow it to route to beside my front...

    Impact vs Regular Socket

I have one nut to take off. Shop manual says I need an impact gun to remove it. I tried without an impact gun and realize the manual is right. I have a impact gun but don't have a 1 1/8 impact socket. I won't ever be taking this nut off again - one time off, then one time on again - so...

And speaking of Natural Gas Heaters and Thermostats

I have an NG heater on the ceiling of my garage. The thermostat won't go much below 10C (50F). I want to replace it with a digital thermostat. There are only two wires to the current thermostat. Will this work? Or at least will this type work (if it doesn't go low enough)...

    Wiremold and ceiling fan

I have installed a ceiling fan in my garage. It is just plugged in to the same receptacle as the garage door opener. Is there such a thing as a fan control switch that I can use with wiremold? In other words, it's not really hardwired so it won't be recessed into the wall.

Lighting for a 3 car garage

I have a 3 car garage. The only lights are three 100watt CFL bulbs spaced above each parking spot. I want to put much better lighting in there. I live where it can get down to -40 in the winter. I want flourescent. Any ideas? I don't have any more room than a 4ft long. Saw these at my local...

    What type of drill bit..........

......should I use to drill out a set screw? I have a 1973 MGB. One of the mirrors is pooched and I have a replacement. I don't care what happens to the old one. There is a set screw that holds the base of the mirror to a gasket which is screwed on to the door. The set screw is giving me...

    What type of flooring?

Bought a new (to me) house with a triple car garage. The concrete floor is in fairly good shape (it's only 8 years old). I want to cover the floor, however, we live in a (very) northern climate. (Saskatoon, Saskatchwean - also home of E-tec) In winter the cars are always dripping snow, slush...

    newbie from cold Canada

Hey all, We've had our house for 18 years but have now outgrown it so the family has bought a larger home with a triple car garage. Whereas our old house has a double garage, it is a fairly small one and I couldn't do much in it. My new garage is completely finished inside including a natural...

    Newbie here, quick opinion

Just bought a new (to us) home with a triple car garage. It's got 10 foot ceilings, gas heater and is completely finished inside. Other than that it's a blank slate. I want slat wall (or similar), but can't afford to cover the entire wall. I'm thinking of two 4 x 8 panels and one 4 x 4 panel...
