    Machinists, where do you order stock from?

    I recently got a HAAS VF2 for a "i hate you, die now" deal. I am wondering where one would buy/order blocks of steel, Aluminum, Stainless, etc... What are stock sizes, etc... The guy I got the mill from says there are mail order places but he wasn't very helpful. Please help. Thanks

    Dear Houston, Where can I buy small qty metal?

    Welders/Pipe fitters, got a filler metal question

    I have a section of L80 pipe and some parts I machined out of L80. What filler metal can you/would you use? I only have a MIG and TIG, no stick process here. The weld has to be strong but will not hold pressure... Thanks.:thumbup:

    Fabricators, Which saw would you choose?

    I do a bit of fabrication work on the side building displays for industrial equipment so I cut everything from aluminum, brass, copper to stainless and mild steel.
