Re: garage door opener, I have two Liftmaster 8500W units. These are a bit pricey but have built-in battery backup and since they mount to the side of the door, no clutter on the ceiling...plus they are very quiet. They can also be controlled from your phone from anywhere if you want.

Still have the M5, E500 (x2), wagon, and recently bought a 981 Boxster S. Also have my daughter’s 190 at the house.

Being a bit of a Porsche fan myself, and even though we are talking about the 928, I can't help but make a comment/correction. All 924's and most 944's (Turbo models included) were built in Audi's Neckarsulm plant. Of the 4-cylinder, water cooled models, I believe only the 968 was built in...

At my previous house, I had a Sears belt drive, which I believe was manufactured by Chamberlain. In the 5 years I had it, it worked perfectly. Belt drives are generally smoother and quieter then chains or screws. Btw, now I have a WD iDrive and it's the best system I've ever had. :)

My home currently has wood siding on the front with stucco covering the rest. I would like to replace some of the stucco on the back side of the house with more wood siding for aesthetic reasons. What is involved and what should I be concerned with? Thanks!
