Opinion on Porter Cable Job Boss compressor

For such a small unit, it has great specs. I won't be using it daily, so it should hold up fine. My Craftsman is made of aluminum and has held up to sporadic use for about 10 years now. Thanks for the feedback.

Opinion on Porter Cable Job Boss compressor

Does anyone have any first hand experience with the Porter Cable Job Boss 4.5 gallon compressor? Here's a link to specs: http://www.portercable.com/index.asp?e=547&p=4794 It's rated at 6 SCFM @ 90 psi, 7.7 @ 40 psi. I currently have an older Craftsman 26 gallon/4 HP horizontal unit but the PC...

WD iDrive vs. Liftmaster Garage openers?

I've had my iDrive for over two years now and it has worked flawlessly. Mine is connected to a WD garage door with their internal springs as opposed to a standard torsion spring. If there is a problem with these things, I haven't seen it.

    Ratcheting Combination Wrenches

I also have GearWrench, bought from Sears on sale. When I compared them side by side with the Craftsman version, I thought they were better made, had a better finish, and just "felt" better in my hand. And not just because they were on sale and less expensive.

    Arbor press usefulness ?

I have a 12 ton shop press from Harbor Freight. It's not the perfect tool for any of these jobs but with an assortment of various tubes, rods, and sockets I have been able to use to r&r control arm bushings, ball joints, sub-frame bushings, and bearing races. IMHO, an arbor press is limited in...

    Wayne Dalton IDrive openers

I've had my iDrive for about 1.5 years now and have had zero problems. I had it put in at the same time as my new Wayne Dalton garage doors and the system works flawlessly. No problem programming my homelink transmitter to work with it either.

    Costco garage cabinets...

Let us know what you think of the quality. Due to the bulkiness of these things, I didn't want to have to take it back if I didn't like it. Ultimately, I'll probably have to just try it and see...

    Costco garage cabinets...

I know $200 per is not cheap, but compared to similar cabinets from other sources the price seems pretty reasonable. According to the website, some Costco warehouses stock these cabinets. I'm hoping to find one locally so I can see them in person.

    cfm ratings- tools vs compressors

In general, compressor output in CFM goes up as pressure comes down. The proportion depends and you will have to call the manufacturer for exact numbers, however, you can safely assume that if the compressor delivers 17 CFM at 175 PSI, it will deliver MORE CFM at 90 PSI.

WD iDrive vs. Liftmaster Garage openers?

The outside keypad does look a little cheap. It's pretty easy to use in the dark so the keys not having backlighting isn't really a problem but it would be nice. The inside panel is easy to use. My iDrive is just over a year old, I believe they have changed the panel since then so it may be...

WD iDrive vs. Liftmaster Garage openers?

I have had an iDrive for a little over a year now. I love it. It's quiet, raises the door very quickly, and since I have a WD garage door, there are no optical sensors to worry about either.

    electric pressure washers?

I have a small electric one rated at 1350 PSI, it's made by Karcher and has worked well for a few years now. I've used it successfully to degrease an engine and front end undercarriage but I don't use it regularly to clean my cars. I've also used it to prep an old wood fence for paint and to...
