"Big Ziggy" 1HP Craftsman Block Grinder Build

That "one way" balancing system looks nice, but it costs ~3x as much as what I paid for my grinder!

Does Anyone Favor the Extendable Indexable Pry Bar?

I saw a marketing video for one of those, and it comes in handy for removing trim, etc. Wouldn't be my first choice if I was remodeling a house, or nudging heavy machinery though.

    Central House/garage vacuum system?

I have one. For some stupid reason, I had him put the vacuum in the attic instead of in the garage, or some other accessible location. I now have a regular upright vacuum that everyone has, and make do with it. For the garage, I have a shop vac.

    Harbour Frieght welder cart mod

Hmmm, looking at it some more. Kzguy2 are you left handed? As a right hander, I think there'd be less welding lead in the way if the table were on the other side of the cart.

Two car garage too small in new home ?

I'd keep looking. It's been raining here a lot, and it's nice to park the cars in a dry garage. I had the luxury of laying out the floorplan for my house/garage, and used my old 2-car garage as a reference. Ended up with a 3 car garage that quickly became too small, so built an 8X16 shed for...

    Harbour Frieght welder cart mod

Nice, I like that it folds. That does make it less of a hassle when all you need to do is make a quick weld.

So what do people in china use for tools?

I was thinking the same thing. If I signed up to a mountain climbing forum, and there was a big, "Americans and their pathetic excuse for a mountain range" attitude, I wouldn't stick around long either.

So what do people in china use for tools?

I've heard of similar things from there. Even companies that command as much attention as Apple need to micromanage the plant to maintain quality. So maybe "gladly build" should be "capably build".

So what do people in china use for tools?

I don't have any first-hand, or even tenth-hand experience with Chinese manufacturing (other than what I buy), but I think the quote above is over simplifying things a bit. My uninformed opinion is that the Chinese will gladly build whatever we want them to, within whatever specs we give them...

    Ultra precision parking

I used an old brake rotor the same way. I switched it up by putting a reflective pole marker on the rotor, with a tennis ball impaled on it the marker. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    The Best Light Fixture Ever!

I unknowingly ordered the backordered ones. One of the ladies called me the same day to tell me about a slightly cheaper alternative that was in stock. My son was home from school today, so we replaced the ceramic single bulb fixtures with them. Night and day difference. Come on bright from...

Where to Get Steel Plate for Work Surfaces

I found my steel supplier because they were in the same neighborhood as my daughters' gymnastics facility. The handful that I called didn't sell to the general public.
