Someone gave me a tip on how to minimize any possible damage from the run off of the etching solution. Pour a line of baking soda accross the driveway just outside the edge of the garage floor threshold. This helps to "neutralize" the run off. Worked pretty well for me.

+1 on the Pour-n-Restore. I was amazed how well it "pulled" the stubborn oil stains out my floor.

+1 for the added light being reflected off the epoxy. I was amazed how much brighter my garage was after applying a grey colored expoxy. Definitely can see much better when I am working under a car.

+1 an the advice to take your time and do a lot more reserach before starting your project. Also, IF you decide to go with the Rustoleum product make sure to use the Professional EpoxyShield which is solvent based and not water based (I think HD only sells the water based junk). Again...

I'm not an expert but I think you should add the Sharkgrip to the final coat (that's what I did). Otherwise you will reduce its effectiveness when you put an additional coat of clear over it. Just my $.02.

My garage is about 400 sq ft and if i remember correctly 1 gallon was just barely enough for 1 coat. Since the local HD stocked the Rustoleum clear I bought an extra gallon or two to have on hand just in case I needed it and then returned the unopened ones.

+1 for using a squeege. I found that it works much better vs mopping. I usually just sweep, dump a bucket or two of hot water on the floor and then squeege it out the door. Looks like new afterwards.
