    Show off your woodworking

I'd like to see pictures of your lathes, and I dream of building a bowl turning lathe with a bit of swing capacity, but I don't have the contacts here for big wood, or rather I haven't gone out looking for the arborists who might have access to the pieces I dream of turning.

    Devilbiss 432 valve spring

I’ve got a Devilbiss 432 compressor, 80 gallon tank. It pops one of the PRVs between stages. I swapped PRVs and the same side pops. I believe it’s blowing back past the intake valve on second stage. The valve disc and the seat are in good shape (I polished them) my thought is that the spring...

Connect a come a long hook into the middle of a rope.

I'd suggest the alpine butterfly as others have, my second choice would be an inline figure eight.( it is directional) A bowline is a reasonable knot choice, we use it sailing, but never in life safety applications. https://www.animatedknots.com/figure-8-directional-loop-knot...

    Beginner wood lathe recommendation

You can turn small stuff on a big lathe, but you can't turn big stuff on a small lathe. (I see this has already been suggested) Don't be afraid to buy used, but watch for wear. I see 11 lathes on local Facebook marketplace. Cast iron is KING, I wouldn't consider a steel or tube bed lathe. Too...
