    Trusty-cook blue bossing mallet, bm2 blanks, $15

Got mine today. Hammer looks fine, but the shipping cost, well....gasp! Will have to think twice next time, me thinks.

    Trusty-cook blue bossing mallet, bm2 blanks, $15

Household electricians/contractors, need a hand! Tracing a wire.

+1 on looking for a conduit coming thru the wall - could be outside or, if buried, might come thru the wall inside the basement/crawl space. If you have access to a metal detector, you might be able to trace the buried conduit that way (assuming it's metal and not plastic)

    Hypertherm Powermax 30-xp

For sale is my Hypertherm Powermax 30-xp plasma cutter. Bought this last year and used it one day on an off-site project (didn't want to drag the bigger Powermax 65 along) Excellent condition, complete with the exception of the gloves originally included in the package - they didn't hold up...

Something to be said for HF...

Interesting. Neither NAPA or Sears had those sets in stock. The Husky set looks like a standard offset - I'll have a closer look when I go to HD tomorrow. Thanks for the links...

Something to be said for HF...

Are those deep offset or std offset? I can find the std offset sets all day long, but not the deep.

Something to be said for HF...

True, they didn't have them and I ended up not finding any. BUT....they normally would have them, just out of stock. Nobody else, nobody, stocks anything even close. Even the wrench selection at Sears is nowhere near what it used to be. So yes, today would have been one of those times I would...

Something to be said for HF...

I know, there's lots of Harbor Freight bashing on this site, and to be honest, they're generally not my first choice when shopping for tools. However, I have discovered one redeeming value to HF: they stock a much better selection than almost everybody else. I spent all morning running around...

    Hoist is FINALLY done!

Homebuilt, sorry - I missed your post. I'm 6' tall and have to duck slightly when the lift is at full height. I'm pretty close to the ceiling of my garage at this point, so I don't know if I can go much higher, but I'm going to check and see if I can use some thicker blocks below the lift...

    Hoist is FINALLY done!

Took 4 months, most of that time waiting for the hoist to ship, a week waiting for concrete to cure and the neighbor to return from vacation (so we could use his front end loader to place the hoist), but it's finally done. Bendpak SP-7x, mounted flush in the floor. By the way, if I had to...
