Craftsman oilless wont start with pressurized tank

Cut in switch starts around 80 PSI I believe... I'll try a 20A outlet soon... New Check Valve, Im thinking it must be something to do with the 15 circuit... The unloader valve is working correctly.

Craftsman oilless wont start with pressurized tank

Good Suggestion, I'll try that this evening. Its in a 15A breaker, but it starts fine without pressure, so I dont think this is an issue. It does not trip the breaker, just wont start. I an runnning straight to the outlet with no extension cord. I'm going to do the above test to see how it...

Craftsman oilless wont start with pressurized tank

Hello Gentleman (and Ladies), I have a question. I have been scratching my head over this for a couple of days. I have a Craftsman 919.16500 oilless air compressor. I got this unit for free, so I am trying to get it up and running. Initially I was having problems with it not starting at all...

Shopsmith multi-purpose woodworking tool system...anyone used one?

I have one, and its a jack of all trades, master of none just like me :). I enjoy it, and it does nearly everything I could need. I am particularly partial to the bandsaw and drill press. Would I prefer a 1500 square foot wood shop with individual tools? Absolutely, but for your your average...

    Point and shoot camera

You cant go wrong with a Canon S series, G12, or G15. I have a couple of DSLRs, but I find myself grabbing my G12 most of the time...FWIW, I would classify myself as an advanced hobbyist.

    Car Maintance tracking

I use acar, which is an android app. I believe it has most of the functionality you mention, it was priced at $6 I think, and is well worth it IMO. I use it mainly for gas mileage tracking, which is fairly sophisticated. I truly believe if you go down this route, you need to make it compatible...

    Highlift and jack drive conversion

PS, I got all new track, drums, springs, cable, rollers, etc. The only thing that stayed the same was the garage door panels and hinges.

    Highlift and jack drive conversion

I think I paid around $1300 to have 2 doors highlifted ~4 feet and 3800s installed. I purchased the 3800s separately. After watching these guys do the work, I am MORE THAN HAPPY I paid them...

Sometimes it seems like companies forget what doing the right thing is. Kudos to RaceDeck for going above and beyond!

    Best disposable garage gloves?

May I ask why one would buy powder free gloves and then powder them? Serious question not being a smart @$$.

    Best disposable garage gloves?

Have you tried latex gloves? They tend to give slightly better dexterity than nitrile, however they are slightly less durable. Also, if you have a latex allergy, that can be a problem...

    Best disposable garage gloves?

Kimberly clark makes a long cuff nitrile glove like the Ed China one. I have a box, and they are nice. I think the Ed China and KC gloves are a little too thick for my preference though. I like to stay with thinner nitrile gloves from Harbor Freight and Home Depot paint department. Unless Im...

Shopsmith IV? What do you guys think of them?

I definitely agree about the jack of all trades, master of none statement. For those of use who don't have room for all of the stand alone tools, its a good compromise. In a perfect world, I would have a shop that didn't have to serve as car storage, woodworking shop, lawn equipment storage...

Shopsmith IV? What do you guys think of them?

I have a mark v. I find it useful as a lathe, bandsaw, disc sander, and drill press. The table saw setup is tricky to get right but it's usable. I wouldn't want to build high end cabinets with mine, but for the occasional use, and the table saw is very handy. I paid 400 for a mint mark v with...

    Best tool box under $1000?

The 56" HF Chest is pretty deep. Its not a 30 incher, but I believe its a little over 20" deep...For my home use, I find the 56" HF box to be more than sufficient. I did not want a 30" deep box because of space concerns.

How to Unload your Harbor Freight 56 inch cabinet.

Yeah, If you have a safe way to transport the box without the crate I'd recommend it. It kind of ***** to have to cart all of the crating material around at night while looking for an apartment complex dumpster.

How to Unload your Harbor Freight 56 inch cabinet.

I think you will struggle to get it in a car. I drive a Honda Element which is fairly large on the inside, and the crated box would not fit inside. For ease of unloading and protection of my car, I used a 4x8 utility trailer with fold down ramp in the back. It was still a PITA to unload by...

What kind of hydraulic oil for Bendpack lift?

Not to derail, but if a $100k car calls for 87 octane, then why use anything else? Anything more is wasting money. Likewise, if your lift calls for 10wt OR ATF, why not use the one that is most cost effective? I never really understand the rationale that higher (than called for by the...
