Yes , do something for a rodent stop. I stapled tyvex between posts and to purlins, then placed vertical studs and batts between studs then I used cdx and several coats of paint. The tyvex helps stop air infiltrating in and around batts.
I spaced mine 6" apart ,but pulled them back away from door about a foot. placed insulation at outside edge of bldg. and had it down a bit to cement over and a crack groove over it.
Face insulation needs to be sealed to stop vapor, You will be fine with those paint coats. Just be sure to seal any gaps as that will stop the water vapor, because you stop air infiltration from inside.
