I'm finally had a chance to test the MM gate lock. I couldn't get it to not open when providing 12v to it. I did measure the current draw, 4.5A max. I am unsure if the current draw is correct for the unit or not. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I removed the pin for the gate lock. At times, I don't hear the gate lock actuate. It's either the control board forgetting to send the 12V or the gate lock itself is defective. I checked in the control board enclosure for water ingress. None. I can retighten the screw terminals.

I guess I am lucky. I had mine for 1.5 years now with the only malfunction of the gate lock. I don't know if it's the gate lock itself or if it's the control board not activating the gate lock. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I have a MM FM502 gate opener and the FM143 gate lock. Sometimes the gate opener forgets to unlock the gate lock when opening the gate, thus causing the gate to stall and bind. I temporarily removed the center pin of the gate lock to prevent the binding when opening. Anyone else experience...

I am so sorry to resurrect such an old thread..... I want to know how simple it is in converting an old Craftsman tool chest from the regular friction slides over to ball-bearing slides? I don't have a lot of money to purchase a new chest.

You are right, I checked the fitment of the o-ring and it doesn't have a proper fit. The cross section of the o-ring is too small. I will be ordering new O-rings from The O-ring Store (you can buy small quantities and they have a generous selection). Thank you for your help! Stan

Blue ucup measurements: ID: 0.981" flared ID: 0.906" OD: 1.569" flared OD: 1.6"

I can measure where the ucup seal sits (0.969"). The diameter where the metal cylinder sits (is it a backup u-cup?) is 1.015". When the ucup is on the ram, I can spin it by hand. But to remove the ucup from the ram is another story. I couldn't pull it off.

Sorry, I failed to reply to your questions. I don't see any gouges in the cylinder. The flared portion of the ucup looks very good, no gouges or scratches there. The metal round piece after the backup ucup looks scraped.

The "metal shavings" I circled is not shavings, it's gouges in the ram because I had a hard time taking the ucup off of the ram. I had a hard time taking off the ucup and stuff, instead of using a hammer and chisel, I used my shop press. The ucup is very tight on the ram!!!!!
